Wanted to go out to a sports bar because they weren't on regular TV. She wanted to go but I usually say no, because she will start to get fidgety after a quarter and ask if it's over at half time. I reluctantly said "yes" since she PROMISED she would hang out the whole game... But then took her sweet time getting ready and we didn't get there till half way through the second quarter as I paced the floor... Then STILL asked to leave since they were winning half way through the forth. Oh, and as a consession? She wanted a Japanese lunch, so called and asked if they had the Bronco game one and they said "yes", at the bar. (stupid hostess). First of all, a japanese place for football? Oh well. At least they have the game. Second, it wasn't the Broncos, it was just "a game". So then we tried two other places before going to the place I wanted to go in the first place. Of course she was not happy with burgers and nachos. I don't know why I fell for it again... Sort of like going into Tri Talk, you KNOW it's not a good idea, but you think that THIS TIME, it will work out. |

My guess is she doesn't realize she's doing it -- she's super cordial and probably doesn't want to be rude. If you explain it to her by saying `I enjoy going to these events but I canNOT stay out that late or I drag asss all the next day, so I have to leave when we say we're going to leave.' then she'll understand. If you go off half-cocked she's going to rebel and be angry. Communication is the key. Yeah, we talk and it's all good. I have to bow out or drive seperate on lots of occasions. It just happened again and now I'm uber tired and cranky and it's easy to complain about. She doesn't "realize" as in she doesn't do it on purpose, but she just gets on a roll and loses track of time. She's carefree in lots of ways, so just goes with the flow. I'm sort of a "keep it on schedule" kind of guy. Youre an engineer, she's a performer. Doy. |
