lvthgme - 2008-06-17 11:16 AM Honestly, Cullen...I think we all do that to some extent with something.  I don't exactly get the whole thing, but we all go "back" to something we KNOW we don't REALLY want...but we do...but we don't.  And it bites us in the butt.  Or, in some cases the stakes are just higher.  Yes?

ok...  so what do you say to a friend who wants to be with someone who is abusive?

I think you have to speak your mind a let them know what they are getting into, but then stand by their side regardless of their ultimate decision...either that or hire a hitman to kneecap the abusive punk!

effing SUCKS.. makes me so sick..

( Its like taking Dorothy Mantooth out for a nice seafood dinner and then NOT calling her the next day..   )

DOROTHY MANTOOTH IS A SAINT!

:D  love it...

I think I ate your chocolate Squirrel

I can honestly say that I have no comeback for that one. You win!

Miss Cullen Rocks!

lvthgme - 2008-06-17 2:07 PM I think a psycho ex might possibly BE their fault.  They picked em, you know?  I mean, unless you're calling an ex someone you went out with twice or something.  But if they like, actually DATED them dated them...bad choice = their fault.  So I say about MY bad choices, anyway.

That's the way I look at it. They usually know they're a little crazy, or a 'bad boy'.. and that's why they like them. So I think it IS their fault a lot of the time.

But, (what I have seen) that's many time all they have to choose from.  We talked about this before.  It's typically the aggressive and over confident guys that are willing to approach the hawt ones.  If society would find it more acceptable for women to pursue men without looking like they are easy, they might have a better selection.

There are SO many amazingly hot women that I know (only through my wife though, it's not me) that are very sweet, giving, hard working and wonderful people.  They just get turned off by being approached by jerks who are just interesting in getting them naked.

If I could have the connections I have through my wife, but be single?  Wow....

I AM gonna be in Vegas in a few months, ya know....

Hook a brotha up!

If you lived here, no problem.....

They all work in the casino industry, and it's a love/hate relationship with tourists.  Love, because it gives opportunities to work and perform....

HATE, because all the tourist are here for one thing - a great time.  That means gambling, living life to the excess, getting laid, getting drunk.....  Not very attractive.  Plus they don't want to hook up with someone who is going to leave in 3 days....

I'm glad I'm confident enough in this town.  So many times men lose any sense of manors.  I have been walking through clubs and pools and guys will grab my wife, turn around to stare at her arse, say "oo baby" or other carp.....  All when I'm right next to her...  I let most of it go because they are just feeling the "freedom" that Vegas offers - if I didn't, I would be fighting all the time.  EXCEPT for the grabbing.  That crosses the line.  I have faced off with a couple guys for that.  Even though I'm a wuss, it doesn't hurt to LOOK imposing....

So I guess I need to learn to go for the ugly chicks?

I'm telling you, go for the hawt chick's copilot. She's so used to going home alone after someone picked up the hawt chick that she'll practically pick herself up.

Or maybe if the hawt ones stopped treating the average men like underlings if they aren't driving a Porsche. That would work too.

There is a lot of that, but it's not the rule.

Wow, I always pop into this thread at the most ridiculous instances. But hey now, some of us are hot and do not have psycho-exes or daddy issues My exes aren't psycho - they just didn't know what they were giving up when they dumped me None of them are inherently bad guys. I have better taste than that...

Granted, I don't think I fall into the same category of "hot" that is being mentioned here. I am not one of those hot girls.

Just like this weekend. I picked the hottest bridesmaid, just like everyone's dream. I was successful, and it turns out she has a kid and a psycho ex-bf

I've been fighting the urge to contact her all day...

Hrm. Next time, for a change, choose a moped. See how that works out.

Women like that aren't worth my time. Funny story -- I may have told some of you this already, but it's a doozy for the new people.

My friend Brian (just got married two weekends ago) were out in Omaha a few years back at a bar known as a party spot for some of the hottest women in the city (make fun but Omaha has TONS of hotties).

So anyway he and I saw these two women and we walked up and started talking to them. They gave us their names but were quite uninterested. So after a bit of small talk one says `Wait. What do you do?' He's like `Huh?' She's like `What do you do for a living?' He said `I'm a doctor.' (He, at the time, was a resident at the University of Nebraska Medical Center).

She was obviously impressed and immediately warmed up to him. He looked at her and smiled and said `So what do YOU do?' to the girl. She said `I'm in advertising.' He said `Oh, that's unfortunate. You ready to go, Tony?' And we walked away. PIMP!

We don't like high-maintenance women at all.

First of all, the idea of "picking someone up" just won't work 99 times out of 100.  If men judged all hot women based on the women you see at clubs, then I can understand the missunderstading.  Just like if women judged all men based on the ones that try to "pick them up" at a club.

If you go to a house party, or out to dinner or lunch, or just hang out, or meet them through mutual friends, there is a big difference in the type of people you meet.

Or she's the hawt chick that just lies there and allows you access to her body - doesn't do a thing. They're usually either one or the other. Never anything in between.

No kidding. I don't do the whole trolling bars for guys thing - never have, never will. If I happen to meet a normal person at a bar, then okay, but I certainly don't look for them there.
