Does anyone know what the parking situation will be near Ironman village? Should we expect a hassle looking for a parking spot? How about on race day?

i dont.  the reason tho is because i got married before i started doing triathlons and have lost a good chunk of weight which makes my ring kinda fall off easily at times.........dont wanna lose it!

Parking? Near IM Village?  You're joking, right?

Race day - if you don't have a hotel near there, then you'll have to get in early at one of the closest parking ramps (say, between 4:30 a.m. - 5 a.m.)

I lost mine a few years ago when I was getting ready to play volleyball (pre-Tri era), but I think someone may have stolen it actually.  Pizzed me off.

No to the ring. Don't wear it while running ultras either, fingers always swell. I ran(literally) into a guy wadding in about 3 feet of water at Timberman searching for his ring. Hope he found it.

Yeah---a few more hours and I get to start a 16 hour drive.

Yes on the ring!  Helps that I jammed my finger playing hoops with the ring on, and now it doesn't come off too easily

And there is not cheese and brats on the course (I know you were kidding), however, while in the great state, I suggest stopping at one of the local joints and getting some cheese curds and a brat....after the race

If you want cheese, brats, and beer for a race you need to do the Birkie (XC Ski Marathon) or the Green Bay Marathon!

Friday and Saturday you should be able to get reasonably close.  On race day, you can park a couple miles away at the Alliant Energy Center for $5 and they run free shuttles back and forth all day.  That's what we'll be doing.  Info on the shuttle service will be in the race guide.
