Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: GIRLS TEAM THREAD May Swim Challenge blujay65 - 2009-05-18 1:40 PM I had a great swim today; 2300 yds in the pool, thats huge for me, especially considering one was a 1200 straight free session and I also did 2 x 300's with flip turns (among other laps and drills) My coach has been trying to get me to incorporate more flip turns as they are great practice for breath control and that was one thing, among many, that I could have done better with during my race. I am now way over 100% for my goal, so I will not add this workout until I hear something from Yanti, I would be happy to up my goal from 8000 to 12000 for the month (so as not to be tagged a "sandbagger"). Or not... I'll still keep swimming anyway! You got the 100%, be happy. And, yes, that is a great swim. See, I can be nice, too. |

I was literally gone all day yesterday for the century but I did swim Saturday. I have a swim heavy week this week as well since it's a rest week. I have an open water swim race this Saturday that I'm really looking forward to. I've never done that before so it should be really fun, plus it's in the Hudson River with that wicked current so I should log an impressive time Good luck on your OWS race. I once heard something about a Fritos bag posting a pretty impressive "swim time" during the NYC triathlon. It was Cheetos and I believe it took only 30 or 40 minutes to do 1500m. Plus a guy did it a couple years ago on his back and barely swam, took him over 45. This is longer, 1.3 miles, but should be pretty zippy if the current cooperates! |

I am very VERY surprised that we have not been graced by her!? do we need to inspire our leader!? seems last time I was on the spreadsheet...she had a "0" next to her name.....I say we shower her with inspires...I know for a fact that she would for us!!!! From what I've read in her logs Yanti has family issues and may have gone back to Indonesia for a while. Not sure. She is still in the US right now but she has a lot on her plate right now so we need to keep going without her! Im sure a few inspires would be muchloved though! |

'bout .... "back door" ..... aaaarrrggghhh* what this? PHIL SHOWING RESTRAINT. thats new. stacieb Restraints - that's kinky. I'm not into that stuff, but, who am I to question what someone else likes? no. silly. YOU SHOWING RESTRAINT. not you BEING RESTRAINED. duh. though.... you being restrained....may have to happen at some point. stacieb ps - btw. get your mind out of the gutter for once. or is that all you men think about......apparently so. True fact. Study showed men though about sex more often for shorter periods of time... and women less often but for longer... also you think about shopping even more than we think about sex... and studies show that men can use only one half of their brains at a time. maybe thats why we can MORE than you can? whadya think? Huh? Something's missing in that last statement. I think it was "we can "eff things up" MORE..." |
