Scout7 - 2007-10-29 2:47 PM I equate swimming with track. It's just back and forth, the scenery never changes. I never got into track much, I never got into swimming laps much.
That's true. I find I can think about "stuff" while I swim. Except numbers.... If I think about anything with numbers, I lose count.... And then I have to assume I'm on lap #1, and start over.

Yeah... I think about 'stuff', too. Like... Don't Drown!

Swimming is easy. Running is hard.

Guess it's all a matter of perspective.

Not that I'm a fantastic swimmer or anything. I just like it. (Running, on the other hand, just makes my knees hurt.)

Good morning everyone! It'll be hard for me to stay caught up here... fast moving thread and no time for me to read it!

Today is going to be gorgeous out, well above our average temps this time of year. I have a run brewing in my head...

So, I want to know if I run in high heels if it will make me faster since I will then have longer legs?

Some company sponsored a race down in...Mexico I think, where all the runners were in high heels.  Prize was a gift certificate for something like 90,000 pesos.

Morning TAN.

How is everyone?

Ankle is still the size of an orange but no limp today.  Amazing what a little RICE will do for a sprain.  2nd Degree Sprain (self diagnosed).

Favre is the man. He continually amazes me with the way he plays like he's 23. I wish I had a passion for anything that he has for football.

Watching his enthusiasm for the game makes me smile.

When i'm not beating my head on the wall after another of his interceptions, anyway.

I was talking with a couple of young ladies from Wisconsin at the bar about that exact thing last night. I contend THAT'S exactly what makes him great to watch. He's a total chance-taker who oftentimes does stupid things. Fortunately his good moments outweigh his bad moments 10-1 so it's not worrisome.

Nobody wants to watch a quarterback who only throws safe passes. We all want to be on the edge of our seats, willing the ball into the receiver's hands, not always knowing what's going to happen. That's true in life too. Well, for some of us.
