Big day tomorrow.

Turn my divorce case over for final review. Hopefully by week's end I will legally be a free man again.

What blows my mind with that whole concept is, I don't know of a single email service or program that doesn't have spell checking capabilities.  Heck, start using Firefox and it will even spell check what you write in these forums.

Let's just say it was a bad week all around.  We are looking for a new house again.  Evidently, the sellers went and took out a loan on the house after the title check was done, like they weren't going to check for liens one last time before the sale.  They, obviously, did not have the money to pay the loan and I, obviously, was not going to up my offer by enough to pay it, so it did not happen.

While that's true, I think it is symptomatic of a larger societal issue - doing whatever you want and expecting everyone else to be okay with it.  You don't want to bother to spell things correctly, then don't spell things correctly.  You don't want to bother to stop at stop signs, then don't stop.  You don't feel like coming into work on time, or paying your bills when they're due ... Okay, well whatever works for you and makes you feel better.

Wow, that sucks.  That's kind of a shady seller.  Did they really think they could sell the house with a lien on it?

Sorry about your week JD.  Here's something that might make you laugh: I managed to get toothpaste in my eye this morning.  Seriously.  It stings btw, in case any of you were wondering.  It was one of those moments were you would laugh at yourself if you weren't in so much discomfort.

I think they got into some trouble and didn't have an out, so they did this.  I am not sure if they expected it to get caugth and just "acted surprised" for the grace of it, but, they certainly weren't first time sellers/buyers, so they had to know the process, I believe.  My wife thinks they did it because they had seller's remorse over the price they agreed to, and knew that they would either get the money that they wanted or they would keep the house and be able to put it on the market later.  I'm not sure.  i was pretty pi$$ed because all of the underwriting regulations have changed (129 changes since the beginning of the year) and I have a lot of time that has gone into making sure our bank and the underwriters had all of the info they needed.  In 30 to 60 to 90 days, when we decide on another home, we will have to get a lot of this stuff again (bank statements and signed items from previous lenders).

Sorta. Case was submitted for review by the judge today. I was hoping for a "You should receive a call by X day" etc., but I did not. Clerk lady seemed happy to be there...

I will be calling them lots and lots this week. Hopefully by Friday it'll be done. Ugh.
