1:40 on the trainer?  you have some discipline.  i max out around an hour and need to be watching movies/netflix the whole time.

Bike fit and an Adamo saddle make all the difference... but I'd be lost without Netflix, TrainerRoad and Sons of Anarchy.

And thank Jeebus, too, because the coach has a 2:15:00 scheduled for me this Saturday,  2:30 next Wednesday, and I see a 2:45 already scheduled on the 19th

Of course, I could do some of these outside as soon as it finishes snowing here, but I kinda prefer the trainer after my crash.... safer (even considering that I fell off the trainer this weekend - yup, tipped right the eff over).

One of my plans had "4 days of 40"  So 4 days of 40 miles rides.  It was still winterish so had to do them on the trainer.  At my pace, that was 2:45 on the trainer for 4 days running.

Honestly, I got through it with TV and rest breaks.  I decided to take 3-5 minutes every 45 minutes to get off, reload water and just walk around a second.  I figured I would have just as much down time if I was riding outside with traffic stops and such.  Psychologically it helped.  First 45 was always easy.  Second was never bad.  The third 45 sucked except what got me through it is that after my last break, I only had 30 left with 10 of that easy spinning cool down.

Also, I have a bag of just abut every typ of M&M candy.  Which should I indulge?  Dark, milk, peanut, peanut butter, or pretzel?

Pretzel.

That be the one I partook...  Lower in calories by 100 too.

That is part of the reason that I love the pretzel ones.

Mostly they are delicious though

I'm sure it will be enjoyable, but it's just rushing from work to the house to dress up for dinner and rush over...  I feel like it's better for a Friday or Sat night where you have a little more time and don't have to work in the morning.  Plus I can enjoy it more if I'm not beat from working and dozing off at 9-10 pm...

PLUS, do to the lack of training?  All my nice cloths are a little snug and uncomfortable.

What fates impose, that men must needs abide; It boots not to resist both wind and tide.

That's a good one.  I hope you did that from memory.  I couldn't think of a single Tempest quote when I wrote earlier.  /tips hat/

It is from memory but not the Tempest - one of the Henrys I think.

Well, it just changed from a steak dinner to Japanese food and it's an outdoor performance when it's 50 degrees and 20 mph winds...

Maybe this a big April Fools joke and she is taking me out for pizza and a movie instead?

Doubt it.

Nothing rhymes with Orange. But make it juice and add vodka, and now we are talking.

Hello TAN strangers

I've heard this many times, but I think "syringe" rhymes.  You can add the vodka to the orange with a syringe, or so I've heard.

How's it going, Samyg?

It was Japanese and the Tempest.

However, a VERY good production with a few modern injections.  It was Co-Directed by Teller (of Penn and Teller).  Since the story has a lot of magic in it, they had about a dozen well placed illusions.  Traditional dialogue, but "rough magic" was singing a modern score.   The production is touring and for sure they will be in around NYC in May.  They spent a lot of money on it so the talent, set, and costumes were top notch.

Oh, and their version of Caliban the monster was unique.  It was two semi gymnasts.  They would be "connected" the entire play (they really just held on to each other) so they looked like they had two bodies, heads, 4 arms and legs.  They recited the lines in perfect unison to give an interesting voice.  I'm not sure if I could explain it well, but they did a lot of double cartwheels and flips and rolls.  Maybe short video to show what I mean.  These are just kids, but Cirque type guys in the show were cool.

Did you stay in Aspen or Glenwwood Springs?  Ever hit the hot springs in Glenwood after a day on the slopes?  Some of the best days I ever had was riding all day on Aspen Mtn, Snowmass, or Sunlight, then dinner at the Italian Underground in Glenwood, then hit the hot springs pool...

We stayed in Snowmass, at the base of the Village Express lift. It was so nice to ski in/out from the condo. I did see the hot springs in Glenwood and it looked awesome, but we never made it there.

I like it.  Some creativity and entertainment to go with the Bard's poetry.  I will look to see the show is coming to Atlanta.

I looked for a touring schedule.  In the process, I learned lots more good stuff about the production.  Tala gets huge props from me for getting you into the pre-opening show. That is special.  Way cooler than your low-key rant suggested.  Great job, Tala.

Unfortunately the only scheduled performances are at the Smith Center in Las Vegas and the Loeb Theatre at Cambridge, MA.  Maybe it will go on the road in a few years.

I like to complain, but she has connections and does a good job for us!  And it's rare that I don't enjoy myself.  However, pretty tired today.  Nothing that a half gallon of coffee can't cure.

They had some SLIGHT audio problems and miscues, but that's what a soft opening is for, I suppose.

Happy Wednesday, y'all!

Booked my TriBike Transport for Alcatraz this morning, and then followed that up with booking my hotel for a week in Bermuda this September.

Expensive, but fun, morning.

this is one of those days I really miss BT chat. bored boredboredbored.   I hate having to sit here just for the sake of sitting here and 1/2 my pts are not showing up.  My schedule is just SO inefficient it makes me want to shoot myself and trust me I dont' need another reason.  AND I have a one  hour gap in the afternoon between my last and second to last pt.  AND the lady who is last is a MOST unpleasant specimen.  She thinks she is dying from her ankle sprain.  I mostly want to slap her and tell her to suck it up.

She gives me a bad evaluation it goes on some random website and I don't get more pts or worse medicare dings me for not being perfect.  I kid you not if you do not get PERFECT scores on medicare they ding you.  Its impossible. She is impossible.

And just to be more of a ray of sunshine in the medical world......they are about to switch us from ICD-9 codes to ICD-10 codes.  These are diagnosis codes.  An ankle sprain is not ankle sprain its 845.00  Mostly I think so they have a reason to not pay us.  As evidence insurance companies are telling docs to take out a loan to cover their expenses for 3 months because they will not get paid when ICD-10 goes into effect because they haven't updated their systems.  Its only been coming down the  pike for about 4 years now.  Just a reason to NOT PAY and argue about it.
