Good Morning TANnerinos!

Tuesday is here.  Having such a ridiculously hard time getting to work early lately.  IT'S SO DARK!  Doesnt help that the wife is sleeping in and I have to get up and go do something resembling work.

Looks like all the IMAZ people are getting crazy.  I am looking forward to see all the suffering smiling competitors this weekend

Yep, there's huge amounts of crazy going on...

Tony and I are actually going to be in Casa Grande for a couple of days after the race trying to keep the old folks behaving properly and to encourage driving at or above the speed limit.  I don't anticipate success in that endeavor.

You guys should really take time to see the sights and eat at our 4 different fine dining establishments.  Oh and dont miss the Target, and Kohl's!

Knowing my parents, we'll hit all 4 of your fine dining establishment while talking about the fabulous deals they get at Target and Kohl's.  It will be a lively conversation on how many golf shirts my dad was able to pick up at a ridiculously low price, and that they were able to pick up a 1.5L bottle of wine for a dollar.

ETA:  Wheee!  Toppage!!

In case I don't get to say it before this weekend:  GOOD LUCK GIRL, KNOCK 'EM DEAD!!!!!

I will be at a seminar all weekend so I won't be able to follow most of it but I will be thinking about you and sending you all the good vibes I can.

And way cool about Chrissy Wellington!

Thanks Beautiful!!!   I'm trying not to freak out TOO much and failing miserably - but all I need to do is remember that forward is a pace, and that I'm stubborn enough to finish no matter what.

If you're at a seminar all weekend, will they at least show a bit of mercy and finish up in the evening by giving everyone some scotch or whiskey?  It only seems like the right thing to do.

Just remember be like the duck; Be calm on the surface and paddle like the dvil underneath!!!

It is better to freak out now than at the start line.  The pre-race neerves are always the worst for me regarless of what type of race.  Once I hit the start and it's time to get to work it all goes away.  You are always brilliant and beautiful and I expect you will be no less so in this.

Well I doublt they will give us the scotch or whisky but I am sure there will be atl least 1 bar trip.  It is a seminar for rowing refs.  We will be spending quite a bit of time on the water so we will need EtOH to dry us out a little.

Ha!  I've now got an image in my head of little ducklings with webbed feet going like mad - those little guys are SO fuzzy and cute!

I'm always a complete bundle of nerves until it's "go" time... even when competing in gymnastics, it's always been the same.  Once I'm in the water, I'll be fine - but until then it's a total freak out and not in a pretty way.

Definitely go for the EtOH to dry you out - sounds like the best remedy after being on the water all day!

Hey we got the new Cactus Moon in town.  Country/Sports Barish type of place.  And a new dining establishment.  CG is a bustling hub of activity.  If you were really bored, its only 15 minutes to my nearest Motocross facility, they have 3 different tracks!  I could supply a few motorcycles and gear for visitors if needed.  Depends on how daring you feel after IMAZ.  Dont forget the fantastic hiking/mtn biking at CG mtn.  Oh wait, you wont want to be using muscles for much.

How's sunny SoCal?

The rain has passed so it is sunny today. The mountains got a light dusting of snow this past weekend so it's time to start getting my snow stuff ready and go shopping for the kids. I can't wait till they stop growing and I don't have to buy new snow stuff every year.

Veer left, then right, then left, not sharply but in gradual little turns. Then look back and watch the line serpentine.

ETA:  Wheee!  Toppage!!

Ill drive up and save youse for a few hours! We can sight see ....things. There is a tent and an old building. That's all I know of.

Oh thank little baby 8lb 6oz swaddling Jebus!  I can guarantee you that a rescue will be NEEDED.

There's gotta be something else to see... isn't there?  Aw heck, even if we're only going to see a tent and an old building, I'm IN!

They closed the Cactus Moon down here for a shooting and other bad behaviour. See they just moved it elsewhere. We can hike and go to Olive Garden ...Tony will like that.

It's true, he will like that.  The OG is one of his favourite places to eat for some reason.

The OG is bomb.

Olive Garden? Seriously? Nooooo.... Give me some back alley godfather type Italian place with Chianti bottles covered in wax and red-checked table cloths where you can get a great steak pizziola and cannoli.

The problem is that those places are rarely any good. An 88-year-old former mobster who just got out of the joint thinks it's good. But really, it's not.

the problem with OG is that their food is frozen microwave meals.  if chris christie likes the italian restaurants i like, they must be good.

I have one really good place here but it's more of a take out type of place but the food is great.

I still love the OG though so suck it.

There is one of those in Chi-town that also serves gluten free almost everything. My fam took me there for a birthday and they even called ahead to have them make an entire gluten free tiramisu cake. It was probably the best meal I've had in my life.
