Ann - how is the weather in PA?  Kids back in school?  Basketball games happen this weekend?

Robin - Feel better soon.  Heal thy foot.  Like Frank, take it easy and listen to your body/foot.  Looking forward to the Urban Challenge and you'll need to be on your feet for that

Dee - hope you have survived the storms in Seattle.  Seems like we are all having quite the winter.

Had a good weekend.  Took Frank to Walmart on Friday when I got home.  He had cabin fever so bad, even a trip to Walmart looked good to him.  He then slept for 12 hours Friday night.  I got back from my running group on Saturday morning and he was still sleeping.  We then headed off to a motorcycle function on Saturday, although we were four wheeling it.  Got Frank out of the house for 5 hours, and that wiped him out, but he was so happy.  He then slept another 12 hours on Saturday night.  Sunday was a quiet day, friends stopped by to visit with Frank and then I left him at home while I went to a play with friends.

Kind of a quiet day on Saturday. I had nothing, NOTHING going on. I took it easy. I was kind of warn down, and just needed a break, so I took it. I did let Keri have a friend over to spend the night. The mom was hesitant to let her come over, because she had a basketball game on Sunday, but I promised the girls would be in bed early.

I was good on my promise, but... around 10:00 the smoke alarm right out side of Keri's room went off. Donnie had put wood in the wood stove a little earlier, and he turned the damper back too far, so it was smoldering, but not really burning. We could tell the house was getting smokey. The alarm went off. I grabbed it, and pulled the battery as soon as I could. Donnie went down and fiddled with the stove. The girls were pretty shook up. Caleb heard it, but he was playing games on the ipad. I told him to go to sleep. I stayed in the girl's room and we told silly stories until about 10:30. Both girls were yawning then, so I figured it was ok to leave them.

Sunday both kiddos had games. Keri's team won, but her coaches will be happy to get her back. Not sure if she will play next weekend or not, it depends on how her wrist feels. Saturday's game will be physical, against a tough team, that is averaging over 50 points a game. I really don't want to play her in that game. Sunday's game should be less physical, so I'd rather start her back there.

Caleb's game was ugly. It was just ugly. The refs were horrible. There was a LOT of pushing and shoving in the game. The kids were getting worked up. The parents were getting worked up. Caleb's team lost by a large margin. We were glad to get out of there.

As we were leaving the snow was falling. The cars were already covered, and the roads were slick. 

As a result of last night's snow I am WFH today. I am probably going to have Keri home with me. She has a nasty cold and didn't sleep well.

I'm glad to hear Frank is doing well! Will he have any kind of physical therapy?

Good Morning!  We still have snow, but it is on the way out.  It has warmed up into the 30s so everything is slushy.  Still have to be careful driving because of slick spots and ruts in the snow/slush.  School is still canceled.  I don't know yet if my appointments will hold today.  We shall see.

Sounds like a mighty good weekend.  Glad that he is progressing so well. 

How was the play?

Even a quiet weekend at your house has excitement!  Glad it was just a bit of smoke. 

I would imagine that with Keri, it will be hard for her to ease back in.  Sounds like a good call to wait for a less physical game.  Hope she gets over her cold quickly. 

So how did the canning and cushions go this weekend, Robin?  Is your foot starting to cooperate more?  Have you been able to walk on the treadmill yet?

I finally made it into the office today. It's my check-in between snowstorms, the next one comes Wednesday night, another big one.

I'm going to try and reschedule Keri's appointment to get her cast of for either today or tomorrow.

Kendra, how are things there?

Robin, are you getting any of the stuff Kendra is getting?

Dee, are you recovered from your storm yet?

I just saw the forecast. We are in the 12" - 20" range for this next round of snow. OI!

Wow, did they remember whta you looked like at your office, Ann. VERY glad you get to wfh when it is so dang crappy out.

Yes, we are at the edge of the weather that went through yesterday and in the 6-8 inches (!) level for the storm coming though this week. I am still trying to get over this cold. One day is good, then evidently I overdo, and the next is crash and burn again. Today is a good day and I vow to not overdo.

As I type the snow has started. Let the craziness ensue!

A snow day sure does sound like a good day to rest and recuperate!

Got Keri's ortho appointment rescheduled from Thursday afternoon to this afternoon. She will be SO happy to get her cast off!

Dee, no I didn't get any projects done this weekend. I felt fine one day, and not the other. The day I felt fine, I was out and about.

Good job! She will be happy. Keri does happy face so well, too! Great smile on that kid.

Of course the cat picks today to have one eye swollen shut. I am sending the hubbie to take her to the vet before the roads get too yucky.

Good morning!  Our snow is all just slush now.  Temperatures are above freezing.  People in the higher elevations may still have problems.  Yesterday 1/2 my appointments came and 1/2 rescheduled.  We will see what happens today.

So you mean the people 10' above sea level?

I found some great ideas for seasoning chicken in the crockpot.  I like to put it onto cook in the morning but always looking for some change ups in the flavors.  If you are interested, here is the link.

Several of those look good. My kiddos are too darn picky though and won't eat chicken unless it is in nugget, strip, or boneless wing form. I would eat chicken every day though.

I am picky about chicken too.  I only eat boneless chicken breast, though I am good with it whole, in strip, or a nugget.  My main requirement for any meat  is no bone, no skin, no fat/gristle.
