Will do more tomorrow. I have my days planned out to where I will hit 110% (not sure if that is legal since I had to reduce my goal due to being sick) at the end of the month. Good luck to those of you who are racing soon - not sure when my race is - it was to be a 1/2 marathon in April but with this problem shoulder that up to this point was bothered by running I backed out of that. Good job team. Stacie Hi Stacie! still feeling better? I am feeling better. Better actually by the day. I am now about 9 days after first coming down with it. Appetite is back and no food problems so far. I took yesterday as another rest day so I am trying to be smart about getting back into it. How is the new job? Stacie
Glad to hear you are on the mend Nothing worse than being sick when you're a triathlete. I was in tears over it! Where as before I couldn't have cared less Get better soon. I can't consider myself a triathlete yet. I haven't done a tri since I am missing a vital part - I don't know how to swim. However, I have been one to slack on workouts before and when I was sick I was itching to get back to it - thus you can see the thursday where I tried, failed and was out for a few more days. You were sick at the beginning of the challenge if I remember correctly? (Sorry for I am wrong) - I hope you are feeling better and can avoid the stuff still going around (at least in my area it is still rampant). Stacie |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: Running with Scissors Ok - this is my first challenge with Julie and can I just say I think she would be a riot to meet in person. I could see the fun times drinking wine with her. Another thing - just wanted to say thanks to the team. I was trying to talk myself out of the 2 miles I had to run tonight. Yep a measly scrawny two miles. But I thought of the team and got on it and did it. Got another 3 each day this week. Hoping Jen doesn't post the "slacker" list until after that and I might not be on the slacker list this week. Have a good night everyone. |

Thanks Julie for the huge update. I am feeling a ton better. Eating no longer sends my tummy in a tailspin and the runs don't bother it in the least. I am finally feeling like I am back to my old self again for the most part. Thank you for stopping in when I was sick to make sure that I took it easy coming back. Sometimes I need that "slight kick in the head". Thanks for the good vibes. Hubby is military so we are hoping a higher up can talk to another higher up Sunday or Monday and hopefully end favorably for us. Hubby isn't happy here with the management (lack there of) and he doesn't have many of his hobbies here like he did in Alaska before the move. For me, I would do anything to make him happier and honestly this might also reduce the chances of him going to sand land again. He was there in 2007 and is expected to go again the end of Aug. It is a loooonnnnnggg shot but we are keeping our fingers crossed. Thanks for the good vibes. I appreciate it.

Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: RE: Running with Scissors It's hard to believe how prolific you've all been in the last few hours; I signed off to watch a movie (Michael Clayton...weird) and came back to 75 new posts! Today was an unusual day. We had snow overnight and then freezing rain later on in the morning. The streets looked OK so I went to the pool at the normal time and was barely out of my car when someone told me the pool was closed until 8:30. So, I headed back home and rode the rollers instead. I ended up staying home from work and spent much of the day doing things around the house that I never seem to have time for: demolition and cleaning in the basement, etc (I need a trip to the dump tomorrow morning!) I'm more sore from all of this than from my workouts! Today was my anniversary, but we're celebrating tomorrow: massages in the early afternoon and dinner later. I'm hoping the roads will be clean for a Sunday ride. Nite! |

Going out for a little run this morning. We've had torrential rains for the last two days, and it has finally stopped!!! |

I lounged for the first half of the day since hubby is at work this weekend. Now it is time to get in the run today and another tomorrow. |
