Howdy Ghoulies.

My step son is vacuuming the porches while I type this. I am on cloud nine!

I like sons who help around the house, step or otherwise.

Yay for Kendra's library being (sorta) school kid free!

Ah, but now summer reading starts, but those are the kid who want to be at the library.

Hi Amy, Kendra, Dee, Ann and Melindy

Amy, Can that Boy of yours learn how to mow the yard? With supervision. Makes them feel like a man.

I am off to do laundry myself, and cut up 20 onions for Saturday's gumbo. Fun times.

Wow, I missed quite the conversation this morning.

Robin - the back is still there.  Dr and I laughed at how honest I was telling him what I did this weekend.  He said he couldn't yell at me since I had already taken care of that.  Anyway, we are still working on it.  I have promised not to run or bicycle, or motorcycle (well, I might be a passenger on Monday).  He said that I could use the recumbent bike at the gym.  I forgot to ask about swimming which I think will be okay, but I will email him.

Ann - Hope that it was good news on your MIL this morning.  And I hope that your BIL takes he rehab well.  Glad the ortho visit went quick.

Melindy - Thanks for playing drawsome with me.  I'm enjoying that game.

Poledancing - I went to a strip club once years ago in OK.  My sister and I talked her hubby and my friend into taking us.  One pole dancer was so skinny that she was sticks and bones.  The other had more rolls and you weren't sure which ones were her chest.  So, I'm not convinced that pole dancing is a way to keep in shape.  I think it is just a way to lead up to PIZZA.

Kendra - it's not a BIL, it is a friend named Bill  My MIL is up and moving around though. They moved her out of ICU into a regular room.

As for pole dancing - maybe the one girl wasn't doing it right

Well, between Amy and her kids crazy school schedule, and you and MIL, BIL and Bill, I just can't keep anything straight.  Just call me crooked from now on.

Glad that MIL is up and moving around.  Hope Bill's recovery goes smoothly.  And if your kids are getting out of schools soon, hope that they have a great summer.

I hope you didn't take it the wrong way, Kendra. I wasn't trying to be snarky.

Morning all. I am off to teach the last class of the month. Fortunately it is just in A'ville so I am close to home. I thought I would get up early enough to run this morning but I didn't. I need to do that before I forget how.

Yea, Ann, getting to see your daughters field day. She (and you) will like that.

Have lovely days, all,

So I worked from home yesterday and today so I could go to both kids field days. Both have been rescheduled for next week because of the weather. With me being the lone ranger at work right now, Monday a holiday, Friday I'm off for a field trip, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to work from home 2 days next week so I can see the kiddos.

Ann - have fun at the field day.  I always enjoyed those.

Robin - yeah to the last class and it being close.

I did walk this morning.  I don't think I am going to reach my May goal of running 4 miles without a break.  Darn back.  Good news is the back is improving.  No more pain down the leg except when I overdo things.  Decompression is working, or at least moving me in the right direction.

Don't push it. You don't want to mess with an injured back. Let your back heal so you can live to run another day!

Good Morning.

Ann, sorry about the reschedules.  But how nice to have the WFH option at least some of the time.

Kendra, glad the back is improving.  It's hard being patient isn't it?

Robin, good luck with class today.  Glad that you are closer to home.  Enjoy

Good morning, Dee!

Yeah, the WFH is nice. I turned down a job last week making a lot more money because I would have lost the ability to work from home.

Any big plans for the holiday weekend?

BIL & SIL are coming for the day on Saturday.  Not exactly for holiday but to help our other SIL go thru some of her husbands things.  He died last fall.  Maybe not the easiest thing to do, but I think it will go fine, and it will be good for everyone to be together.

Monday, I don't know.  Perhaps go to a friend's house or maybe just kick back with the dogs.

What about you?

We've got hail to bale, and yards to mow (going to mow the MIL's lawn tomorrow). We may go fishing on Monday. I'd like to get a hike in on Sunday, but I'll have to go early, could hit 90, that's too hot for me.

I get to work on Sat & Sun, so no real holiday weekend for me.  We are supposed to join up with our motorcycle group on Monday at lunch time and ride back with them into town.  I am checking with the Dr. tomorrow to see if I can just ride as a passenger.  If not, then I guess I won't be getting on the motorcycle.

My daughter had a softball game last night. We live just over 2 miles from the field, and it was an away game for us.

Our girls won 9-0. My daughter had 2 hits, but she just can't seem to get past second base before the inning is over. I hope she gets to score at least once this season. We play back at that same field on Tuesday night, too.

Sucktastic on the working over the weekend. Let us know what the doc says. I'm not sure how much difference there would be from driver to passenger on a motorcycle.
