I'm psyched. With that said, I know there are a lot of you trying to lose some weight this year. So my question is - how can I support and help you achieve your goals? BT and its members have been and continue to be a huge part of my success so far, and I've got a debt I want to repay. So let me know how I can help. that is amazing work right there. |

So who is in for the pushup challenge? Do you max test this week, and start Sunday/Monday or whatever works for you. Let's post pushups Fridays. You will be amazed how many pushups you can do. Great party trick for beers... |

I thought I had posted yesterday, but apparently it got ate by the internet. Had a nice trainer session yesterday, and a good set of lifts and a 10k run this morning, so a good start to the week. My s/b/r count for the month is 27, so I should just squeak in. |

I believe you, I know I talk about how cold it is a lot on here, but I do like the winter, and I really enjoy having 4 distinct seasons. Too much of anything gets old...... well besides beer of course! |

Sounds good for the push up challenge! I am pretty excited about it actually, sounds like a good way to get some strength training in. I really like body weight exercises as well, even just doing body weight squats, for me doing 4 sets of 25 and I am Gassed.... It is amazing what you can accomplish without fancy equipment and pricey gym memberships! ( Although I do have both of those too)
Got my triple workout in last night! Ran to the pool for an awesome swim, and ran home via a shorter more direct route, I call it 'The Tired Guy Route'. This was my first time at the evening adult swim, which apparently my pass doesnt work for but the nice lady let me in with a warning...and man the evening swims are wayyyyy better than the noon ones. There no octogenarians buoys floating in the lanes, there are lots of young vibrant (read really fast people) just an all around nicer vibe....too bad my pass is no good for evening swims apparently!!! Ahh well....such is life! |

It was a great run though Justin - Looks like a nice place to run... even if it's -20 outside. That is cold. I went out last week and it was about -10 C when I headed out and it took me a while before I got warmed up. I would rather it be -20c than 32c. You? Give your dog a pat for me. Hows the back? |

Great party trick for beers... First and most importantly - you need to stop talking about yourself in a speedo. I sometimes eat when I check the forum and that image really kills the appetite I'm in on the challenge. Did 30 to start - we will see if I can get the kids into it. Have a great week! Make that 30 in 31 happen. I know you can do it! |

Back is better, much better...not 100% but ill take it. I will give the lady a pet when I get home, she does get a little less attention now with the 7 month old around, she will enjoy it.
I do like running in the cold and was about to say that I prefer it, but my best ever 5K time came last Feb. when we were in Maui and I did the Run for the Whales run put on by the Pacific Whale Foundation. Great run! There is a Half-Marathon too which starts in the Makena area and out through the lava fields south of there. I am really hoping to get back and do that one some day. Great job on the 30 Pushups! I am hoping for 10.... |

Veteran 340 Dallas | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed 36/31 on the challenge. I think I need to stop working out! There is nothing like having your first HIM and being kinda worried about it to make you hit it! Body is feeling like I need more yoga moves and foam rolling. Next week is taper week so I will give this 40+ year old body a rest. |

Keep the intensities up, but decrease volume and you'll be better for it moving forward. Hoping for a good rest of your training plan (injury free) so you can get to the starting line healthy and ready.36/31 on the challenge. I think I need to stop working out! If you end up running to Dallas I will buy you a beer!I think one of the great things about this group is that we have a variety of people at different stages of the game that can see/appreciate what is going on. I find joy in my owm accomplishments but also get a lot of joy hearing about how you guys/gals are moving forward with your challenges and goals.fell short on the 30/31. Champion 5312 Calgary | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed had a really solid run today, 2 X 20 minutes at T pace which was awesome. Really good. Lots of gut busting pain. Legs felt smooth for the first one and stiff for the second one but I pushed it and was happy with the result. Now hoping I didn't ruin myself for the rest of the week. |

Extreme Veteran 968 Cape Coral, FL | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed I decided to stop floating around a pool and took the first step to actually swimming worth a darn. I sent a few emails out and got directed to my local masters group. It is way above my level but I am sure they will know the next place to go. All of the adult swim instruction doesn't start until late March which is cutting it real short for a May tri. I have to fix it because I am swimming with my head up because the timing with breathing is crazy off. I have watched I think every video ever made but need someone speaking to me and watching where I mess up. Edited by Burd 2013-01-28 7:02 PM |
