Good afternoon Ghoulies!

Took a 3 mile walk with my daughter last night. She was a real trooper.

Did a 7 mile bike ride with my son this morning. It was a little slower than I would have liked, but there were lots of rollers, and I'm happy I got him out of the house. It's HOT out right now, so we're going to stay inside for a bit. Tonight we are going to a minor league baseball game on City Island. The Harrisburg Senators vs the Reading Phillies.

I want to get my hike in early tomorrow morning, supposed to get hot again.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Got a 7 mile hike in yesterday morning. I'm glad I went early. It got HOT and HUMID here yesterday, and thunderstorms were starting to roll around shortly after I was done. I got caught in a shower on my drive home. It was a good hike though. First time I did that part of the trail. I just went out and back, but I'd like to do a point to point sometime. It's 11.2 miles, I can do that. I just need someone to go along to drop my car off at the end, then have them drive me to where I'm starting. Anyone free next weekend?

Hope you all enjoy your Memorial Day!

We're off to my parent's for a BBQ as soon as the Girly teengager gets dressed/prepped. *sigh* At least she made it so I cn come visit the village, right?

3 day work week for me. WOOT!

I'm off on Friday to hike 4 miles of the AT with my daughter's class. They are doing a point to point.  I am then going to hike the 4 miles back to my car, for a nice 8 mile hike.

Went fishing with my dad, and the kiddos yesterday morning. They caught 10 fish. Not a bad morning.

Morning Ghoulies

It was a fabulous 4 days of fun. I never made it to the lake, we just talked, laughed, listened to the band Friday night and the really bad comedy show. Stayed awake each night until the early morning hours singing on the porch, solving the worlds problems and laughing a lot. Yesterday after the last folks left we got the tent down, the stage dismantled.. sorta, started the infinite loads of laundry because we are having folks going to my cousin's sons wedding staying here. I have to make this place look like it should. Oh, ya.. and get the cottages back in order for this weeks check ins and work.

It is funny, the town's folks always look shocked when we all show up at 9 on Memorial Day to attend the brief ceremony put on at the veterans memorial in town. They think a bunch of ex hippy liberals aren't patriotic. Little do they know in that crowd is a history professor, a Presbyterian minister, two elected officials, the chair of a school board , etc. etc etc.

Good Morning.  Sounds like it was a really nice Holiday weekend for the Ghoulies!  (except for the poor doc on call)

Ann, I also have a 3 day work week.  We will be headed back to eastern Washington for another long weekend.  Whoo hoo!

Robin, that sounds like you had a great time, but what a clean-up!  Hope it goes smoothly getting it all back to normal.

Good morning Ghoulies.  Sounds like everyone has some fun weekends.

I did work on Saturday and Sunday, but work went well.  Sunday night we had a great dinner with friends.  He is lebonese and is a great cook.  Always makes me lebonese food since i had spent 3 years as a child in the middle east.

Monday we went to a small street festival and then friends came over and we went to the pool, the cooked out and played board games.  It was a great day.

Sorry to hear.  I guess the medical world really doesn't get to take holidays off, cause emergencies still happen.  Hope you got a good nights sleep in without the pager going off.

Dr. said no motorcycle whether I am rider or passenger.  Kind of what I figured.  He also gave me a note for work.  No bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, etc. for six weeks.

Yea for 3 day weeks. The Ghoulies should always have 3 day work weeks with the pay for 5 days!

Sounds like everyone had a good time and next weekend looks good in Ghoulie land, too. (Sorry Melindy, but you aren't there for much longer.... hang on!).

A doomed run. I started out without the electronics working and on the dreadmill. Then I slipped and the mill kicked me off. scraping the heck out of my knees. Then I tried to finish outside, tripped again. There will be bruising. Just means I have to buy a new dress for the wedding that will cover the knees.
