I think I have a job coming. I've been working on becoming an insurance agent and got approved today. Now I fill out the two state licenses to get moving and begin the training process. CONGRATULATIONS! x2! That's fantastic news! |

Extreme Veteran 3020 | Subject: RE: kaburns1214 Mentor Group 2012 Part 2 - CLOSED 2000m recovery swim this morning and strength training. i have to squeeze in a run at some point. The house we were going to look at went under contract before we were able to see it, after only 5 days on the market. Back to the drawing board on that. I am the type of person who likes to have a plan/schedule. I organize my day into chunks, and it seems to help my parenting, because my kids are always on a routine (we all know kids thrive on routines). This goes for my monthly and seasonal calendars as well. I can't plan summer activities for my children, and I can't plan any trips or vacations, because we have no idea where we will be. I want to get them registered in their new school (this is my job), but I can't do that either. I know I need to be more flexible, as life throws us curveballs all the time, but I can't seem to settle down in this chaos, and it brings me a lot of anxiety. My cortisol levels have to be at an all time high right now. |

Pro 4723 CyFair | Subject: RE: kaburns1214 Mentor Group 2012 Part 2 - CLOSED Sweet deal Steve. A friend of mine asked me to pace her and give her some drafting practice this morning while she tried to prove to herself she could knock out 2.4 before next Saturday. I took shift one at 5 AM and did about 1200 with her. Then I hit the weights. Have intervals later. Trying to decide how easy they'd be to do on the road as opposed to the trainer. I'm kinda tired of riding inside. |

Dang that stinks about the house, never even got a chance at it Yesterday I didn't get anything done as I was here all day with the HVAC guy converting me from swamp cooler to refrigerated air. He'll be back today in about an hour to finish up. When he's done I think I'll try an easy walk/jog to test out my achilles. Then I have to meet up to fill out my applications for the state licenses at 4pm. |

In 2008, I went to IMAZ to volunteer and register and swam during the practice swim on both days. |

I don't take them every week because I wouldn't fit my volume in and really don't generally feel like I need them but I'm pretty happy to be using the whirlpool and steam room tomorrow after a nice long stretch and being done. |

For 99% of the population full sleeve wet suits will be faster. The trick is getting a good wetsuit with a lot of flexibility in the shoulders. In places where it is warm (e.g. Texas) while a full sleeve may be faster, there is a greater chance of over heating so its worth while to go with the sleeveless. For 100% of the population a full sleeve is faster. And regardless of temperature it is never worth while to wear a sleevless. |

Faster, yes, but there are those people who have the mental hang up with shoulder constraint, which will adversely affect the swim. |

No such thing, simply an indication of a poorly fitted wet suit for the person. I don;t think there is a single piece of equiptment that is as individual specifc as a wet suit. More so then a bike. A bike can be made to fit a person, a wet suit can't. If someone spends the time to actually find a suit that matches their body type, select the correct size, and spends an appropriate amount of money (the more you spend, the better it wil be), modern wet suits have an incredible amount of shoulder flexibility. I really think it's important that this be the message to folks. |

I know her, she and her ex-boyfriend used to coach with my coach about a year ago. He fancied himself an Olympic hopeful...except he sucked. I, along SI a few other of our guys, would kick his at track practice and at races. But he was convinced he was Olympic quality. It was disturbing how in denial he was. He left my coach because he wasn't winning races...because he sucked, and he and Kristi disappeared from my radar. Then she becomes this "pro" because of one finish at some random race in Buffalo NY and earns her card. So fats forward to last week and I hear a true story about how at a local Splash and Dash she screamed at a volunteer in a kayak saying something along the lines of, "you are always in my F'ing way!" WTF? And now this. The entire Phoenix tri community is all abuzz about this. |

There have to be literally thousands of girls in the U.S. who are faster. |

Extreme Veteran 3020 | Subject: RE: kaburns1214 Mentor Group 2012 Part 2 - CLOSED 1:15 Z1 trainer ride done and short recovery run later. We're heading out of town for mother's day. I have to pack everyone up and pick up my husband after work. My parents live in a flat, rural town, so I'm pretty jazzed for my long ride tomorrow morning. No stop lights or traffic!!! 2 of my sisters are making a brunch for my mom, other sister (who has 3 kids), and me, so there should be lots of good eats after my ride. 2 of my kids are being treated for pinkeye (1 for less than 24 hours) and 3 of them have colds, so I do have to call and confirm that it's ok for us to come with our lingering illnesses. Apparently Madge was exposed to Fifth's Disease at preschool, so I am on the lookout for signs of that as well. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms in this group! Being a mom is a 24/7 job....no vacations! It's the hardest, most rewarding process, and you all should be proud when you look at your little ones. |
