![]() | ![]() Good afternoon everyone...I'm back at work today, so I'm lucky to get here. They tortured me yesterday to get the crown back on...but at least it didn't take long and my 10 year old (Madison) was fine while I was gone. Unfortunately it popped back off this morning brushing my teeth and I'm going back in at 3:30 to get it stuck back on. I am so....FRUSTRATED!!!! I decided, if they let me keep it once I get the permanent one, that I will smash this one with a hammer. That would feel good At least I am feeling about 80%. Sleeping more than 2 hours helped alot with that. I still can't seem to get my run on, though Both girls are feeling much better today...I am very glad about that! Hope everyone has a great day! |

Extreme Veteran![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Kurls26 - 2009-02-02 11:03 PM STILL no bathing suit......grr..I am still sore from Fridays workout- the worst is sitting down on the toilet! Unable to get to the class tonight....the little girl I nanny for was puking all day long and I worked some overtime and didnt get home until 10:30....luckily I work for the best family..I dont need to be into work until 10:30 in the morning! So I will hit the gym before hand! Hope everyone has a great week! You get my award for the day ! Dealing with the pukies is bad enough when the child is yours, but dealig with it with another kiddo, that is just awesome! Shows you have some love as well, great job ! Plus you made me laugh with the fact sitting on the potty hurts ! Sorry, you just said it so cute ! |

Regular![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Congratulations to Nalani on the GPOL award! I am still shaking my head that they tacked on extra distance. Nicole- hope the appointment goes well and you get the answers you are looking for. Also love the name for you bike....I think mine needs a cool name too. Will get back to you when I figure it out unless you have any ideas. Alyssa- hooray for your race! I love races too...the energy is always so positive. Can't say that I love rainy runs though...perhaps part of the reason that we left Vancouver for Calgary. I can do cold and sun better than mild and cloudy/rainy. I would definitely do some intervals or pick ups to get the legs moving but definitely take it easy on Friday and Saturday...perhaps maybe just out for 2 miles easy to get the legs relaxed. Make sure you are hydrating well through the week and have fun!!! Julie- I have this image of you with this bear stuck to your head...hope your eye heals up soon and you can get back at it. Tonight is swim night with the tri club so always fun but a good challenge. My mantra tonight..."my face is not a plow. Think tennis ball...my face is not a plow. Think tennis ball...." I feel faster already! |

Sorry about the tooth...I am going to see the dentist on Monday and not looking forward to it at all. I am cracking up about your farts in a bottle...human nature is so funny sometimes...we say "Ew, smells this, it's awful." and people will inevitably stick their noses in. |

Pro![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Yvonne, you can pick a name for your bike but it may not "stick". You've got to wait for the bike to reveal it's name to you. When i happens, you'll know. :) |

Pro![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm back from the hand doctor. This guy actually spent time with me, walking me through the MRI images and explaining the anatomy of the wrist. He says that I have inflammation of the Flexor Carpi Radialis tendon, the one at the base of the thumb. He had the hand PT make a custom splint that is designed to rest my wrist in a slightly flex position in order to take the pressure off the tendon. I get to wear this as many hours a day as I can stand it but I can take it off for bathing and for training! Yes, I can still s/b/r! If things aren't a lot better in 4 weeks I go back for a cortisone shot. If that, or a third shot, doesn't do the trick then eventually I'm looking at surgery to open up the channel that the tendon passes through. Hopefully it won't come to that.

What a beautiful splint, Nicole! Especially with the sunset in the background! (Or is that the sunrise?) I'm so glad you found a good doctor. They are hard to come by! Hopefully that will take care of the issue and I bet you are happy you can still train!!! That is awesome news! |

sux Nicole! sorry about the wrist band! hope you can get this fixed before it comes to cortisone or surgery..but if that is what it takes to get you back in working order then so be it. hope for your sake that you are right handed as I can see it is on the left one. |

Yes, thankfully I'm right handed. That's neither a sunrise or sunset (although it does look that way) it's actually some reflected flash off the hardwood floor. |

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a good hump day. I have to confess that although I am trying to remain focused this week, I've got a cold or something that is creating havoc with my plan! I was supposed to run twice yesterday (once in the morning before work and once with Torture Dan after work), but I blew them both off. I did go out for a run this morning, though, and it felt good. I hope everyone has a great day! |

Champion![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() thanks for keeping us on the page - Lyssa. When do you race? Feel better Cheri! you still have time to come back....your race is Saturday right? who else is racing this weekend? or entered into an event? I was supposed to run the Sawyer Camp Trail 10K run which is held on one of the most gorgeous trails in the bay area...it runs next to a large body of water called Crystal Springs which backs up to some mountains and is in a very remote area...no homes/businesses...just you and nature! I may still do this, but depends on knee. if not run it, I may just walk and slow jog it! Amy M - how are you and Lacy doing? Julie H. - how is the eye? and curious...Monica...did you finally get your swim suit? hoping so! |
