MDHillSlug - 2009-06-16 3:35 PM I have permission from Dee to refactor my running goal for the rest of the month. I'm lowering my frequency and my distance. My new goal is 29 miles (down from 45). Taking that into account I'm now at 50% of goal!

thats great! good job listening to your body and cutting back to avoid serious injury.

KrisSeer - 2009-06-16 2:22 PM I don't have any pets. I would love to have a dog, but the lease I have right now only allows 1 pet and my housemates already have a dog.

Having a dog to run with sounds like so much fun... it might even make running a little more enjoyable! Hmm... maybe I could persuade my landlord that I need to get a dog for health purposes?

that sounds like a great argument to me! I say go for it

I have a conference today, tomorrow, and Friday, so I won't be around during the day.  Tonight is really busy, too, so I probably won't post until tomorrow night at the earliest.

chartierm22 - 2009-06-16 11:07 PM Anybody read any good books lately?

I just don't seem to have time to read lately, but I'm listening to "Born to Run" as an audiobook. Very interesting.

Morning...

I was able to change my info in the spreadsheet this morning.  Took a quick look at the numbers...everyone is doing great.

Sorry I haven't been around here much.  Really busy with the kids (school is coming to an end), work, trying to fit in training, etc.  Just wanted to say keep up the good work everyone.

Have a good day and train safe.

K.

I read Engleby by Sebastian Faulks - it was ok. Now I'm reading "the Secret sripture" by Sebastian Barry - it's quite interesting!

chartierm22 - 2009-06-16 6:09 AM Has anybody totally cut out certain foods from their diets since starting tri's?

Did I ask this question already?  Sorry if I did.

No, but I cut soda twelve years ago. Apart from that my diet is most of the times very healthy.

Dee says:
Let's give Jeff (pilotncommand172) a little time to resurface. If I recall correctly, he's active military (Air Force, I think?), so there are times when he isn't online much. In the past, he disappeared for awhile, but did come back prior to the end of the month, and filled in his training log. If he still doesn't show up towards the end of the month, I can drop him then.

Afternoon all.  I was able to sneek in my run before all the girls showed up. YEAH!!!!!  Now they are here though and it's getting pretty darn close to lunch time.  Sooooo I won't be able to chat much for a bit.  Hope to talk to you all again after lunch maybe.
