A doomed run. I started out without the electronics working and on the dreadmill. Then I slipped and the mill kicked me off. scraping the heck out of my knees. Then I tried to finish outside, tripped again. There will be bruising. Just means I have to buy a new dress for the wedding that will cover the knees.

Who says that treadmills are boring?

This sounds like a whole lot of excitement to me. (A painful version, but excitement none the less.)

I think you should show off the bruises, and let everyone know that you're an athlete.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Kendra - sorry about the bike, I sort of figured that's what he'd say.

Robin - um... I've got nothing. Are you ok?

Morning Ghoulies.

Yes, I am ok. It is the first time in a long long long time that I had to go to bed with stinging knees. It isn't that bad, the bruises are going to be the show in a couple of days

I think, with the crowd I will be with, I will get the new dress Though some one gave the idea of putting my age on my leg and my race number on my arm and go with the original dress.

So... they aren't going to replace the douche bag that left last week. Due to company budget cuts, they cut the position. I am going to be the lone network engineer here. It means more work, and responsibility for me here, but it's not a bad thing. My boss was going to pull one of the server guys over here, and honestly I wasn't thrilled about working with him. He thinks he knows more than he really does, and we have disagreed over several issues, and he was the one who was wrong. I think/hope it will be for the best.

Morning Ghoulies.

Today is the start of the potential weekend from hell. My cousin is getting further out of hand and she and other of her family and friends are staying here this weekend. She was the fly in the ointment last weekend. I have been dreading this all week. I got about 3 hours of sleep last night. I set the alarm to workout but that didn't happen. Good news, the hubbie is out for a run now!

I am here for another few minutes then I am off to get some office supplies. Then meet the cousin and buy food and start cooking the rehearsal dinner. , I just offered to help, how did this happen? I am going to have to stop saying yes to people who take a mile for every inch offered.

Rant over.

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood and I will get a run or a swim in today, so all's good.

Enjoy working from home, Ann.

Have fine, fine days, Ghoulies.

Breathe. You have the right to say no. The only person you have to please is yourself.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Today is the day I was supposed to be off, and I was going to hike lots of miles on the AT. Last night on the way home from softball practice my daughter called a friend from her class, they were organizing who was bringing what snack, and her friend told her the field trip was cancelled and they weren't making it up. My daughter was almost in tears. I told her we could go hiking on Sunday, but she didn't want to. Then I told her that I already had the day off, and she could skip school and I'd take her hiking. She did like that idea. When we got home my husband said he heard the voicemail and the trip was rescheduled for Tuesday. So she is going to school today. I am working today. We are going hiking on Tuesday.

They are calling for rain today, and severe storms this afternoon, so it probably wouldn't be best to have a bunch of 3rd graders out in that. Last day of school is Thursday, so if they don't get it done Tuesday they won't get it done.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Got a 7 mile hike in yesterday. It was a good day for hiking, not too hot or humid, a nice breeze was going. It was a good day to be out.

Morning Ghoulies!

Long weekend of THE WEDDING. It went off very well. I am glad that everyone is gone home and we can now get the house recovered and start getting my Mom's house ready so I can leave on Friday to get her up here for the summer.

Oh ya, and catch up on work.

Hi Robin.

Did you smack anyone this weekend?

Luckily, no. After the "Friday Rehearsal Event" was done, things got easier. That was the event that we had to deal with here, buy food, prep and cook food, tote food, dishes, serving stuff, flowers, etc to the location - (the brides parents house !!!), set up, clean up and tote it all home for final clean up here. The clash was that that all this was happening in my home, but my cousin needed to be "in charge". It is difficult to be in charge when you don't know where anything is and won't ask. Also, not knowing where or how to get to the venue. Oh, and then being an emotional wreck, too. After that was done, it was just recapping. Then we had the rest of the folks staying here show up so there that had a nice dilution factor for emotions. AND.... The folks here had enough fodder from the other family to focus on. We spend a GREAT deal of time laughing..... at their expense. The wedding was particularly beautiful, both in scenery and the ceremony so it worked out over all.... luckily.
