Good morning Ghoulies!

After being on the run, run, run, for weeks and weeks, yesterday I crashed. I did next to nothing. I slept a lot! Which can be a good thing, but last night I had a hard time sleeping. I am wfh today, I started working at 3:17 this morning. I'll be ready for a short nap when I'm done.

Good Morning!  The rain is really coming down here.  All weekend and thru the week.

Didn't make the 5k on Saturday.  I was dressing for it, knowing that I would get drenched by rain and puddles.  Then DD called.  Her 3 yo daughter was spending night at the dad's (who lives with his mom).  Little girl was sick and crying for mom.  They wanted DD to come pick her up right away.  So since DD wasn't going to make it to the run, I did not go either.  We will find another one to do and try again.

A soggy race would have been no fun. Sorry to hear the little one was sick.

I am glad to hear Keri is back in action. Tell her NO MORE HURTS, though.. okay?

I started some exercises with her last night. She can't put full body weight on it yet, so she was using a yoga ball. Doesn't have 100% full  range of motion, but we'll work on that, too.

Good morning Ghoulies.

Ann - sorry about the bad night of sleep.  That's what you get for sleeping all day  Get working on Keri's bone strength also.  Calcium and Vit D, best via food, minimum in capsule form.  Strong bones = health body.

Dee - sorry about the race, but better smart and dry than soggy and wet.

Robin - what are you up to?  Son's girlfriend has invited Frank and I for dinner around St. Paddy's day.  I'm considering having us show up in our kilts.  I know Jim would be proud of Frank for doing that.

Is it Keri's pitching arm that was hurt, or the other arm?  I can't remember if you said.

So, yesterday, with all the computer issues I had at work in the morning, when they brought my computer back to me, it has Windows 8.1 on it.  Wow is it different.  Going to take me a while to get things figured out.  Everything looks different, and my email page is very boring.  Where is the color?

Morning Ghoulies!  Everything is pretty quiet around here.

We are back on a diet this week.  This time I am following with DH.  Basically we eat vegetables all week along with some fruit.  No meat and no breads or cereals at all.  I guess it is not that drastic of a diet but it sure feels like it.  I felt cold all day long yesterday.  and pretty tired last night.  However, when we have done this before, I usually feel pretty good by the end of the week.

Morning Ghoulies.

It is supposed to get up to the mid 60s today. The house is going to be opened up for a bit.. OUT WITH THE BAD!

I just realized I only have 3 days to get ready for the Mardi Gras party here this weekend. Yes, I know, it is no where near Mardi Gras.. however, it is the time we could arrange to have it. We co-host it with our friends, they provide food, help decorate and help clean afterward. We have it here, decorate and provide the drinks. We have done it for about 4 years and it is pretty fun. Folks really started dressing up (costumes) last year!

Morning Dee. Do you get your protein in that way or are you avoiding legumes as well?

Ann would loose a lot of weight on this diet

For this week, we are avoiding legumes also.  Mostly carrots, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, lettuce, spinach, cabbage, some apples, oranges, a very few grapes and bananas.   Lots of water.  Kind of a cleaning out diet.  Five days, then do not go crazy eating everything in sight!

That is why you are so tired, no protein during this phase.  I usually do a 2-3 day cleanse, not sure I could do a 5 day cleanse.  You go girl.

Good morning Ghoulies!

We are having great weather here, spring like weather.  Tonight I am going over to hear a presentation on a weight loss fitness program.  Someone whom I have known for years, played tennis together years ago, and have kept in contact with is starting a new business.  So, I thought I would go and check it out.  I'll have to tell you more about it tomorrow after I hear what she has to say.  She has been working on getting her certification in nutrition and fitness.  She put her plan to test on her own self and her transformation pictures are amazing.  From what I have gathered so far, she plans her meals for the week and prepares them on Sunday.  They are all portioned out so during the week she can focus on working out and not cooking.  Sounds like something I would like.  Frank is going with me, so if we decide to do it, it will be both of us.  Of course, he only has a little to lose compared to me.

I need motivation!

If you work from your upper porch, you can at least feel like you are outside.

Let us know. The sad thing for us is our schedule always changes when I do that type of planning. That and it is hard to plan for lots of fresh veggies by he end of the week, unless you plan to go to the store to get them mid week. I could use some motivation myself.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Other than checking FB from my ipad, I really wasn't on the computer yesterday.

Looks like there was some fantastic weather in the south! We had upper 40's yesterday. Same here today, could be 50 tomorrow or Saturday. Lots of snow melting. We may see the grass by March.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Ann - glad to hear that you are warming up some.  I keep reminding myself that it is only February.  Still a ways to go to get to spring.  But it is right around the corner (so to speak).

Robin - I would rather work on your porch than in a windowless office.  Luckily, I do have a small window right by me, and a larger one just outside my cube wall.  Problem with that one is sitting at my desk and looking out it, all I see is the outside of the library wall, for the building makes a 90 degree turn right at that point.  BUT, it is much better than looking at an inside wall.  And when I walk around I can look out of it.  So, I'm really happy for the access to windows that I do have.

Morning Ghoulies. I am off to a polymer manufacturer today. Fun and games

Ann: I was getting worried. It isn't normal that you don't check in.

Kendra: Yes, I have a fabulous office situation I try not to take it for granted. I heard my first spring peepers last night and saw my first daffodils. Right on time. It is funny to hear everyone who doesn't pay attention say that they are glad Spring is finally here. Like these gift days mean spring is here. Really! Our most snow  and cold weather is typically in March and sometimes even April. They need to remember these are in fact GIFT days!

Dee: Hope you made it through all the rain and storms.

Have fabulous days today.

I told the kiddos that spring is just around the corner, it is a long walk down the hallway to get to the corner, but it is there.

I can't remember the last time I worked in an office with a window.

Um...
