I co-authored a story on the NYC Tri ... and yes, I know it says 1.4 km for the swim. That'll be fixed as soon as the editor arrives.

Well, I have a massage at 9 to work on my neck so maybe I can get back in the pool next week.  Then I have to run price sheets out to a customer in W. IL who hasn't felt that a computer would be useful to his business (he's one of my 10 biggest accounts).  Then I have to drive back 2 hrs West to go help a customer with a warranty issue on one of our products, but it's going to be mostly me telling him that if a customer uses the product beyond the point where it's completely worn out, it's not the manufacturer's fault.  Then over to the s-lbs to exchange broken cycling shoes for the promise of non-broken cycling shoes.  Home to swap pedals from my mtb to my road bike so I can put in a workout this evening before meeting one of my other customers for drinks (haha, I almost said dinner) and at the same time try to sell him my mtb, and find someone else to buy my roadie so I can "afford" a tri-bike.  Then a 5k @ 7am tomorrow.  That's a fullish day for me. Been up since 630 doing email stuff for work already.

wurkit_gurl - 2008-07-18 8:09 AM Just running the 5K and sleepies. And rearranging the rest of my kitchen stuff so psycho-roommie doesn't taken any of it, since I'm going out of town tomorrow afternoon. Gotta get up and bike and swim tomorrow too.

She comes in to move out her stuff: "Why are there chains and locks on all the cabinets?"

You: "Because it's not your stuff."

Her: "I'll have to call my mom to make sure about that."

You: 'GFY and just leave."

Nice job, 2goggs Dude, I can't IMAGINE being a NYC Wall Street type and training for triathlons at the same time. I think I'd drop dead of exhaustion.

I can hear the glee and joy emanating from the computer Are weddings fun to do, as long as you know the couple who's getting married? I can see where it might be boring otherwise.

Side note - we do infant baptism at my church, and it's usually pretty amusing. This past weekend, our senior pastor's daughter was having her youngest (her 6th child) baptized and her father is always the one who officiates during the baptisms (we sort of do them en masse every so often, doing 6 or 7 babies at a service, and the occasional adult). Well, little pastor-baby-junior is probably a bit over a year old now, and he was SCREAMING and trying to wriggle away from his parents, from our pastor, etc. She was mortified and our pastor was cracking up. Was pretty funny - I've never seen a baby flail and scream so much during a baptism before.

Nice article, but who is Tony Dreibus?  I was looking for Wingman or 2goggs as the solicited author.   Is that the Bloom County times?

yes... when I know the couple and we work together over our pre-martial stuff... yes, the weddings can be fun.  Tomorrow will be one of those.  When I am pastor-for-hire... not nearly as fun... I rarely do that anymore.  Actually when all is said and done, I prefer funerals to weddings... might sound strange, but funerals can be just awesome.

Baptisms are fun...  when they scream and flail, we just say it's the devil trying to get out...
