Did someone say books???????...............

Jim, congrats to your mom! I'm going to pick it up and read it!! I LOVE books!! and writing books so we're gonna have to chat more about this conference she went to!!!

Hi scooter.

Yes congrats Jim to your mother on the book. My friend Wendy Townley (www.nerdythirty.com) just had her first book published. I am very proud of her as we came up through J-school together. She and I always competed for success. When I got this job she was jealous, now that she has her book published, it's time for me to raise the bar.

Kido - 2010-05-25 2:25 PM bragging a bit...

Last evening at the BEA (Booksellers International Convention) Publishers gathered for their annual Ben Franklin Award ceremony sponsored by the Independent Book Publishers Association. These awards are open to all publishers and the more than half a million books published in 2009, regardless of the publisher's size or clout.  All the major NY publishers as well as Independents are eligible.

In the "religion/religious issues" category, my mom's book Welcome them Home won the award as the best religious book published in 2009.!!

Sheesh, my parents set the bar high.  Both PHD's leaders in their fields, award winning authors...

Maybe I should read her book too.

Preach is going to kick her azz! He doesn't take disappointment well

nah... she's safe from me.... for now.

I am too busy on my own writing and such at the moment... I am laying out the groundwork for a novel, plus a number of classes...

and maybe a PhD is in my future... but we shall see.

Didn't you almost get one of those before?

Holy internet problems, batman.

spent most of the afternoon with At&t.

even At&t hates you
Why do you hate AMERICAN Telephone & Telegraph? Is it the Telegraph part?

It's the Internet part I hate.

His relationship status, or his whereabouts status? Important distinction.

well if he's in an "open" relationship I guess he's ok to date other people. But I don't know his bizzz

when I date people, I make it clear up front the whole are we committed to each other or not....cuz if I feel like dating other people, I will. But that's just me. Of course if I'm committed to that one person then thats it.
