Just found out there is a 4 mile race that starts and ends at my favorite local brewery in April.  It comes with free beer.  Hell yeah!

And this beauty was stalking me on my run last night (i was a bit afraid he was going to take off with my dog)

Now I'm off to catch up on RRs

Oooh, I love owls! Badger Jen Moose (Artemis) has a tattoo of one.

What a great pic of niece and pug. Good to hear from you; as you know, many of us have been praying/thinking/cheering for her oh, and there is a marvellous Pugsley cheese!

Just FYI.

Good morning everyone! (or good evening to some?)  Just another random drop in, been such a slacker still.  I think if I get back into BT I will be more motivated again. Then again, it's the off season.  I just don't want my waistline to get out of control!! Glad to see everyone else is still at it!!

I love everyone's new avatars - Yanti, you look FAB!!!!

It is amazing what standing to the side and sucking your gut in can do.

Great to see you again, Brie!

I posted the owl picture on FB and one of my nieces was fascinated by it, asking me all kinds of questions about where it was and how big it was. She loves animals! I keep telling her she needs to figure out how to work with animals for a living. She's a single mom and just getting by. She worked at a wildlife refuge in Colorado for a while as a volunteer.

cdban66 - 2012-11-20 6:30 AM Adrienne, I've a question for you, since you are the only S-Bux employee I know. How can I tip using my card or app? If it can be done, I don't know how. If it can't be done, get this enabled and you'll have a huge number of eternally grateful barristas reviews were good. I hope to get some trail runs in this winter. Now it is time to head off to work.

The ol tip jar has always been an interesting subject. Short answer, no you cannot currently tip using your card or the app. BUT the plan is to have an app for tipping coming out this summer. For now, try and carry cash as those baristas work their tails off (not that I need to tell you that) and do more or less get a little shafted with paying with cash being sort of a lost art.

I'm really ok with compromising on doing the half instead of the full.  Most of my disappointment is from him not telling me.

It's probably better that I don't do the full given how little I've been running.  Doing the half will reduce my chance of injury.  Plus, we'll still be down there the whole weekend.  I'm going to try to find a fall marathon I want to do instead.

I am sorry that hubby wasn't being very communicative. On the bright side, I think the half is a great distance. I have more to say because I think the significant other impact of training is an important issue to revisit. But it is late, and I am typing on my touch pad.

I agree. It's been discussed in various forms on TT. When the topic came up here yesterday I mentioned it to DH. I wouldn't have signed up for HIM training without his complete agreement. He is super supportive of my training and even joked about spouses who aren't.  However, we don't have small children at home and that makes a HUGE difference.

So not touching this one on TT...sometimes I wonder about those conversations.  I always end up shaking my head!  I think E being so little is what makes this tough.

Yeah, major major props to you guys that juggle (on top of everything else) small children!!!

J has given me a stern talking to (or two?) and we've had to compromise on some things. I am lucky enough to have a gym (and showers) at work so that I can make a lot of my training 'invisible' to her by doing mid day workouts. On the weekends I make sure and have at least one day where we do breakfast together (has always been our thing.

Of course we are just crazy cat (and a pug) ladies.

Speaking of, Stevie HATES the rain.

This reminded me of a pic my niece posted after her 5k

OMG OMG OMG PUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I usually do, but occasionally I don't have cash on me. When I have cash I have no willpower. And that means I empty Reece's vending machine. I am that bad when it comes to junk food.

Hostess has received inquiries on recipes and such. They'll be selling stuff off in bankruptcy, which means a little rebranding and WHAM, Twinkies are available! And all is right in the world.

I find that if I don't have the cash, I don't buy the coffee. So, a sale is lost. Thus I need the app that will be available this summer.

Salty, if they need someone to test, I am ready, willing and able.
