Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Morning TAN! More job hunting on tap for today! One of my friends who used to work in law firms (now an analyst for the FBI) has reached out to a friend of hers who is the managing partner of an intellectual property firm so I sent my resume to him last night. He actually got back to me around 10pm last night and said we should all try to arrange a happy hour to get together with some of his work colleagues to meet without the pressure of an interview. I like the idea, but this doesn't seem like the normal way of meeting a managing partner? |

Maybe a different approach, but even if this doesn't work out, it will give you the ability to meet a few people in the industry and maybe additional possibilities. In most cases, is not what you know, but who you know. |

Either that they'll have a spot open up that I would be a good fit for, or that maybe my credentials get passed on to one of his connections. Apparently he's also a triathlete, so we can spend the happy hour exchanging various race war stories cuz everyone knows that what happens when triathletes get together. |

If it happens that was in Chicago too, I'm fine with that! |
