Her birthday is July 3rd, so I'd like to have it by then, but if I can't it's always nice to get presents just because.

Robin, if your friend can't find a softball jersey I did find a basketball jersey, and several Lady Vols t-shirts online. I can order her one of those.

I told her we need to make a video of her pitching and send it to the softball coach. She liked that idea.

Going to be another scorcher here today!

The thermometer in my kitchen says it's 105 in the sun. I was standing outside with Keri waiting for the bus and it was hot standing there. I told her probably 7 or 8 times to drink lots of water today, she has a softball game tonight. Caleb had soccer practice last night and all the guys were just dripping sweat by the end. It was the last practice of the season and most of the time they played different games instead of having a real practice. Their coach told them to start hydrating before they even wake up tomorrow for their game.

Good Morning, Ghoulies!  I am so glad that it is Friday!  I have had 3 weeks in a row that are only 4 day work weeks.  In a way that is nice, but it makes my workdays very long and busy.  But that helps the finances so  I guess it all works out.

It is finally sunny today.  This past month broke the 1924 record for our wettest May since 1924.  The town was founded in 1923, so in 1924 they were still doing much of the building and road laying.  Must have been some fun in the rain and mud, especially since the town is built on a flood plain with a high water table. 

Now we are supposed to have about 10 days in the 70s.  I WILL get out there and exercise!

Ann, how's your toe?  Do you still think it is broken?

Robin, thanks for the inspires!  I am planning on a run tomorrow.  Hanna will be happy!

Kim, how are you feeling after your laydown last week?  Are you riding this weekend?

Yes, I think it's broken. It throbbed all day yesterday. I came home from work a little early and finished my day in my recliner so I could prop my foot up. I have it taped to the toe beside it. I thought of taking the tape off and taking a look, but it hurts to mess with it so I'm going to leave it alone for another day or 2. I can't run, but riding my bike on the trainer doesn't bother it too much, so I'll be doing that for a little while. Marathon training starts in June, so I need it to heal FAST!

Another busy summer day at the library.  Yes, I know, according to the calendar summer does not start for another 21 days, but summer in GA starts in May.

Tomorrow hubby and I are volunteering at a local camp for fragile children, helping to build a new playground that the camp won the equipment for.  Hopefully they have stuff us "old" people can do.  Anyway, it will be a fun, long, worthwhile day.

It sure is Summer here in Fla! I was hoping to run and defintly get in the pool, but thunderstorms changed that.

Dee - have some wonderful sunny days in the pacific northwest.  Get outside and enjoy.  No riding for me this weekend, but only because we will be busy with the playground build.

Ann - sorry about the toe.  Bummer the northeast is so hot.  You are hotter than the south.

Robin - have a safe drive back with Mom.  Watch those Fla thunderstorms.  They can sneak up on you.

Home again. Driving yesterday was not too bad. There was some brutal rain, but we missed the worst of it.

Ann, hope the heat cools off a bit and take Robin up on that baseball bat.  It sure is irritating when people don't read their notices.  We get that all the time at the library.  They complain about the fees on their card.  When we explain how many "courtesy" notices we sent, they then comment that they did not think the notices were important so they did not read them.  REALLY, and you expect me to waive your fines because of why? 

Robin, glad you made it safe back home with Mom.  I enjoyed meeting her last summer, hopefully I will have the chance again this summer.  Oh, BTW, in August my Dad should be in NC, so I will be coming up there the weekend of the events, but don't know if I will participate cause I will be commuting between Marshall and Lake Lure visiting.  I'll decide closer to. 

Ann, since I will be there in August, you HAD BETTER SHOW UP!  Time for us to MEET!
