Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) Got a run in this morning, it's my anniversary today so we're heading out to a fancy restaurant to eat seafood ...... Had a routine Dr visit this morning--the Dr has taken up running. We spend more time discussing races and the pros & cons of various shoes than he does examining me.....but hey at my age I am not having any more babies so he doesn't have much else to do. |

Master 6595 Rio Rancho, NM | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) Happy Wednesday Manatees!!! Well I took Fi out for a nice 18 mile ride yesterday. We did one of my hilly routes so we did some climbing (not bad, still had gears left ) and some decents (weeeeee). Still working out the aero bottle configuration and need some input on a couple things. Fi is very finicky about having the lever for the front derailleur straight out front, I had it just a smidge down and she was complaining about it. Is that normal? My Giant wasn't that picky about it. (Fi is also very vocal about cross-chaining). Also the aerobar arm pads. They are a clear gel-like material. I guess that's good because it's easy to clean but they feel slimy when I start to sweat. The giant had cloth pads which, I suppose, soaked up the sweat. What does everyone else run for those pads? Interestingly, I noticed new arm muscles being used and less shoulder (i.e. holding up my head) but the position feels more agressive. |

Thanks for info...I think DH must have picked now to torture me with waiting :/ Soooo you love it? good! What do you think of size? That's my biggest "not sure". I don't wear a watch except for workouts, and it looks really big compared to my Polar. Does it feel cumbersome or in the way?4agoodlife - 2013-05-14 7:48 PM I've got the 310 - love it. However, don't get anything before the 17th, Garmin is having a huge sale on the 910s (299.99 unbundled ) and there is speculation that the 310s will decrease in price. Plus DC Rainmaker says hold off buying as there is some bit announcement of Friday at 12:01. No idea what it is, but could affect how you want to proceed.Looking for some opinions on tri watches/HRMs. My next one is on the near horizon My watch now is a Polar FT4, and I'm contemplating switching to the Garmin 310xt. Anyone have one now or experience with one? I may expand on my thoughts later, but I need to get to the gym. Very late tonight!!!! |

Very late tonight!!!! actually, I wear 2 watches on one wrist - my standard timex that I wear all the time and then the 310 behind it. I started doing that when I had the 205 (305 without heart rate option) because I could not get the fit tight enough on my wrist, so when I ran the 205 slid up and down a bit, bruising my hand near the thumb. Keeping my timex on stopped that from happening. I think the band on the 310 is such that I could wear it alone, but 2 watches is such a super cool kids look that I don't |
