Another tidbit of information for everyone: During our ride last weekend, we came across the race director. She advised that all of the bike racks from last year were stolen. They stole the trailer and just so happens the racks were on the trailer. They were/are planning on making the kind of racks that your wheel fits into instead of the traditional 2X4s and pipe where you have to hang your bike.

OK peeps, who thinks they are in for a little post-race gathering?  I will bring a cooler (there's a surprise) for post-race refreshments, but who is in for a little BT gathering and cold refreshments out of the sun after the race.  I will be glad to host it at my house (about 8 miles from the race site) or we can gather downtown on Beale Street.  I am open for either option.  Please post a quick reply as to preference then if it is at my house, then tell me what post-race beverage is preferred (Karl is Corona) and what type of food, so that I can pick up a few things at the grocery this weekend.

Mike, it goes without saying that this is a BT and a D3 offering, so all are welcome!

My vote is for Lane too. Awesome house and big yard! Let me know what I can bring!!!

Actually, no worries, I am glad to host it.  I will try to get a sandwich tray, vegatable tray, and some snacks for us to munch on.  I will get a good bit of beer, but if you have a special need, then you may want to bring it with you!  I will have directions with me at the expo and the race...easy to find and on the way to most of your hotels post-race!

As a reminder:

I have two shelter tents (white) set up for everyone and their family and friends.  My Mom and Dad and three of my sisters will be there.  We will have chow, water, gatorade, festive beverage.

The location is:

If you turn into Edmund Orgill park at the main entrance off of Mudville rd.  Go .9 miles and they are on the right at the top of that hil with two semi RV looking things parked right next to them.

If you knoe the run course, it is right where the run leaves transition up the grass hill where we meet the pavement.

This 381 pound guy is freaked out by the heat, but ready to race.

Sorry I couldn't make it to dinner, family time went too long.

Brother, I am so sorry I am not going to make it to your house.  I have tried to get in the shower three times now and this last time I fell on the floor cramping up.  I wish it wouldn't have been me, so I could have seen me do it and just laugh and laugh and laugh!

I am struggling.

Thanks for finding me bro.  I promise when I am up here next I will give you a shout and we'll grab some chow.  I am up faily often to see family.

Ladies and gentleman, if you haven't heard me say it before, this guy (Rugbykid) motivates the hell out of me.  This guys is what the sport is all about.  I feel shallow for bitchin and moaning about my pains when a guy like this has more heart and fight in him than all of us together!

Chris, no worries brother, I don't blame you at all.  It was a pleasure to finally meet you and I am damn glad I stayed, seeing you finish was better than finishing myself.  Honest!  You rock dude!  keep it up!!!
