Stage 4 done for me!  50 minutes on the trainer (be nice, it's taper week!!).  I think I'm going to go over time, but that's ok.

Next stage is the bike portion of the New York City tri on Sunday!!

Stage 3 done yesterday...30 minutes on the trainer. I am getting there. I plan to bury myself on saturday once I am back home. Trust me all, my minutes will definitely pick up over the weekend.

It is quiet.  It's been a busy week for me.  Heading up to NYC tomorrow!  I should be around more next week.

What's everyone doing this weekend?

That is one long ride. Have fun!! You need to hire some domestiques and maybe a team car that can switch out your wheels should you get a flat.

I've only gone 74 miles since we started, but I could still use a domestique.

I'm right on track with 5 stages and 74.02 miles...

I'll get another stage and 12.x miles tomorrow in my sprint race and then a good couple rides next week will wrap me up (and probably over).

Let's go, Burritos!

I missed a stage and may need to pull out of the challenge if I am not ready to ride by tomorrow. I have pulled a butt muscle and have been sitting around for 3 days trying to get it to heal. Today does feel somewhat better, so I'm hoping to be ready to go by Monday if I just rest. I was going to try a short easy run today, but I think I'm going to hold off since I did wake up slightly better this morning. Don't need to re-injure what has just healed.

But, if I can't start riding again on Monday, I will need to pull out of the challenge because there is no way I could make up two stages before the end.

I'm trying to be very careful and diligent about healing because I have a race on August 3rd. I would like to get this last week of training in before my taper week, but I don't want a painful jabbing in my arse while doing it... so I might have a two week taper instead.

This is what you look like after 150 miles in 100+ degrees with a heat index of 115. Did I mention the Geez did 235 in similiar heat on Saturday

Geez took 2 for the team riding 235 on Saturday and 205 on Sunday. It was hot and lonely out there. Dont tell me your Arse hurts.

Well... a pulled muscle hurts. I'd much rather have a hurt arse from riding 200 miles than from it being pulled. Please don't mock me, I have actually been pretty upset and slightly depressed from not being able to work out for the past 4 days.

OK, team -

I'm at 6/8 stages and 86.45/120 miles - I'll wrap that up easy with 2 good rides this week (which I need to do anyway).

The race yesterday went well - race report here if you're interested...

but the highlight is that they served Chipotle at the finish line (mmmm Carnitas) AND

my daughters got free Nerf burritos. I have my very own team mascots at home now.

Stage 4 I think done. 45 minutes on the trainer.

I am making up. I may do another stage tonight, or is that allowed.

Can I do two stages in a day??
