I feel like curling up into a ball and whimpering myself to sleep. http://blakesroad.blogspot.com/ /> Great post!!! Did he really say "get a bucket???" I have no plans on doing the plyometrics and haven't even watched it, but after reading your blog I'm going to have to take a look. In addition to having all this fun I see you've lost a few pounds. Keep up the good work. I've been mostly concentrating on the stretching because I'm having major issues with my IT band. Ugh!! Not sure if it's the bike or run. Bought one of those foam rollers and have been working on it daily. Seems slightly better, but boy, does that roller hurt! Going to the stretching and back/bicps later today. |

He actually did say "get a bucket." It was pretty scary. IT band issues suck - I had a friend that had a lot of issues with her IT band. I tried out one of those rollers just for kicks. You're right - it does hurt. |

Modesto, California | Subject: RE: P90X 2010 Fall Challenge Im experimenting with my diet this week, now Im going to use a recovery drink as my last meal/post workout. Also I'm going to reduce my caffiene intake and start using folgers 1/2 caffiene, hopefully it will have a positive effect on my energy levels all day, next Ill see if I can handle caffiene free coffee(at my computer I drink a pot a day). I also plan to eliminate most sodium from my diet, I assume I get way too much as I crave it most of the day. I turn 44 next month and need to start exercising how I take care of my my heart also as long as Im trying to increase my fitness and endurance, trying to take the right steps anyway. Workouts are going good, I will say it has been challenging this week as now everything seems to have gotten so busy for some reason. For some reason I still hate any move that has the word Chaturanga! Is everyone still in this thing, sure has gotten silent ! |

I was all set up and had everything I needed to start but didn't really give much consideration to WHEN I would do it! I haven't done one single workout yet. I'm thinking I will give it my attention after my half mary in October. I'll do the workouts in the morning and supplement with tri training on lunches and weekends. Evenings are a complete write off now with long hours spent working or childcare. I think I will have to be realistic and recognize that I won't be able to fit it in every day but some sort of schedule would be good! Good job for those of you keeping at it! I'm eager to start... just gotta find the time! |

Extreme Veteran 573 Sherman Oaks, CA | Subject: RE: P90X 2010 Fall Challenge It took me about 2 weeks to complete week 3. So I am going to repeat week 3 starting today. I took the last two days as rest days. Sunday was a travel/sleep day and yesterday was a sleep day. Was really exhausted from 10 days in ny. I got a few workouts in, which I'm happy I did, but the consistency wasn't there unfortunately. I'd feel like a cheat if I didn't repeat week 3, so Chest/Back is on deck for me at some point today. I am not following the diet and haven't lost any weight but I think I've redistributed some of my weight. The number on the scale isn't an issue as much as the softness around the middle. I enjoy the variety of all the workouts and I'm curious - how are you all fitting in any swimming, biking and/or running? I know some people skip Kenpo or Yoga. Yoga I won't skip, Kenpo is alright and something different that I haven't done in eons so I don't want to skip it. And the whole point of P90X for me is gaining strength, which I am missing out on reaping the benefits of if I don't s/b/r. Thoughts? Help? Suggestions? Do two a days? In what order?

Modesto, California | Subject: RE: P90X 2010 Fall Challenge Im skipping all cardio workouts and doing Bike workouts in its place, all my training is low key now that my race season is over. My goal now is to loose some weight, gain some motivation, add some strength, and resolve any muscle imbalances. If you want to do S/B/R and P90x you may want to look into P90x plus or scale back the workouts. Most people dont finish 90 days of P90x and thats without S/B/R. P90x plus is five workouts that I feel better fit for race season so I keep regular P90x to my off season. The + workouts are shorter and are upper and lower body workouts with a few more cardio workouts thrown in and the Abs /core workout that is 10x as hard as Abripperx. |

I don't do Gym memberships so I save over the long haul and do home workouts on DVD, I pick and choose for variety and current goals. To me I find all these worth the money. You can buy on Ebay for less but you will get some DVDs that skip and freeze, you get what you pay for. |

It is a whole lot cheaper and less excuse for me to not workout. That and I live a good 30 miles from the nearest gym. |
