tlnewman30 - 2008-10-02 1:00 PM Since we like chatting I think that rule should be easy to follow.

Thats what Im thinking....

Sounds like it is a rule for the challenge then.

Do we need to have a team vote?

I guess that means the sub challenge of last month carries over to this month.

Okay guys... Try this... It is not very pretty, but this is all I am capable of at that time of the day. The links should work, I'm just missing a couple of real life names and the spreadsheet will be added later. By the end of the month the table will be all glammed up! Any special requests?? Just kidding!

Besides its not like I can 'run' for more that 20 minutes a time anyway with trying to make a come back from scratch again... more time for posting!

Wow, I came by to see what team I'm on and there's already 5 pages of posts. That'll teach me to wait until the end of the day.

My name is Melissa and you can add me to the list of the recovering injured. I'm in PT right now trying to avoid surgery for Acromioclavicular Arthrosis which is just a fancy way of saying arthritis of the AC joint. I was pretty much off all training other than walking for the month of August. I slowly got back into things in September and managed to put in around 26 miles for the September challenge on Team Nads.

The worst part of all this is that I'm registered for my first tri on Oct. 19. Doctor told me I could pretty much forget about that since swimming is out for now. I ended up finding a couple of other folks to do it with me as a relay (I would do the run), but now that looks like it won't happen either as one of the members of the relay team is probably not going to be able to participate after all. Oh well, there's always next season.

So, for now, I'm just going to focus on my wogging which is my affection term for my walk/jog combo. I'm pretty much going to be doing mostly walking this month and will ramp up the jogging intervals next month. I've signed up for the Rock 'n Roll Seattle half marathon taking place on June 27. That gives me 9 months to get ready for it. I know that sounds like a long time, but believe me, I'll need every minute of it. As for this particular challenge, I'm in for 30 miles.

On a more personal level, I'm 44 years old, divorced, and live in southern California. I'm originally from middle Tennessee, but moved out here nearly 12 years ago. By day, I work as a computer geek in the aerospace industry. You can pretty much always spot me around BT by my silly emoticons and my bunny avatars. I've updated my avatar today to Zombie Bunny in honor of Halloween.

I've been on teams before with several of you, so I feel right at home. For those of you I've not had the pleasure of meeting before, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all this month.

Go Team Dark Arts!!!

Managed to sneak in a little treadmill action tonight.  I was bummed I didn't get a chance to play outside in the beautiful fall weather but I did get to watch Family Guy.  Stewie almost made me laugh myself off the treadmill.  Hopefully I'll get a little outdoor time tomorrow.

Hey Kathrin -

I found a dark background that looks pretty cool in the team table. Feel free to use it if people like it. I have it on my Photobucket account, so you can link directly from there if you want. I already have it in my log if you want to see what it looks like in the table.

Well, I think we just found the HTML expert on our team. Your table was so much more professional, I just copied it from you! How do you guys normally distribute the tables then??

BTW... Very nice profil pic... Goes along with the theme nicely! ;-)

kaqphin - 2008-10-01 8:43 PM While I think of it - Travis... did you see I deliberately put your wife on another team? thought it might help with the 'motivation'....

I did see that, QueenZipp and I are going to do what we can to prevent Laura's team from winning.  Maybe I will hide her running shoes till Nov!!!

Oh goodie! I hope we get to see some of it here....

Well as you say last month, I am good for my miles, and possibly more, so I that wont be an issue.

We know you are good for your miles by just looking at your avatar.

Good plan, I like the way you think.  Watch the spells though since that will help their post count.

I think we use the 'Dee rule' I suggested last month... for every one post in another team thread... we have to post two here...

Although with some of the challenge organising stuff thats a bit hard... but at least ALL the teams get the same stuff generally with that...

Cat, being the organizer is no excuse to get out of the rule.  We'll be looking for those posts.

Okay, copy your whole table out here for those of us who don't know how to grab it from your log   Although you may want to add the spreadsheet link once CAT has those up for us.  And Beth is going to want you to add sparkles.

Thanks.
