Veteran 151 Oxford | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread I rode the course again today. I tried to keep race pace, but having had a tough hpckey game late las night and another again earlier today, it was a bit tough. still I managed to cover the course in 35 minutes.... I wish I had more time to ride, but we are expecting some snow sating on Monday, so that is going to make it difficult. |

I'm starting to get a little excited. I'm just glad the decision was made. I'm considering going to ride the course this weekend. I'm going to see if some folks from our Cincy tri club want to go, too, as some of them are racing. Kate, you up for it? Anyone else? - Lora |

Delaware, OH | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread Lora- Slight life snag in the course ride plan- my huband who is in the Army, is coming home on Friday for 10 days. I'm not sure I can convince him that it would be fun to drive to MU from Columbus for a 12 mile bike ride. I'll keep you in the loop. Maybe some pizza then a big steak dinner...I'm sure he'll pass out and I can sneak out... |

I may actually go over some time during the day in the week next week afterall. Have an awesome, awesome weekend! No doubt you will. Enjoy your food. |

The temp has held steady all winter around 78F. It is not bad at all! The roads are in pretty good shape, the only thing is that there is a turn at the end of a downhill, (around mile 4 - 5) and there is a bit of gravel on the road right on the turn. I understand that someone was riding the course this weekend and took a nasty spill because he/she failed to slow down at the turn (flipping over the guardrail and ending up taking a bath in the creek). Otherwise, there is one pretty steep hill that is sure to make your HR go over LT for a few minutes, and then it is rolling hills afterwards. The run is flat! |

Champion 7233 | Subject: RE: Miami University Student Foundation Triathlon : Official Thread HFP sweeps all turns the morning of the race or the night before. for what its worth, the turn at theb ottom of the hill is not that bad, someone else told me to watch out for it, i was nervous keeping an eye out, and then saw it. you see the turn coming from a few hundred yards away and its not a hard one at all. as long as you watch wherey ou are going its fine. and this coming from a wussy desender/cornering person. |

Though it was cold and overcast there was no rain. The way weather changes in Ohio it could be sunny and 75 or snowing. I'm getting exicited too. I really enjoy this race. |

Seriously-how does one dress for this? tube socks on the arms and just suck it up? |
