Further info on bricks:

I stated in the challenge rules that a brick is a swim/bike or a bike/run where the second event starts within 15 minutes of the first event ending. I have since been asked about other orders or combinations of events. So, my official ruling is that a brick can consist of any two of swim/bike/run as long as the second event starts within 15 minutes of the first event ending. Lifting, yoga, etc will not count.

Also, when I first envisioned the brick bonus I was figuring it for time/distance. However, it needs to apply to sessions, too. So, you can take 1.5 sessions for bricked sessions.

Happy Wednesday!  (Unless you had a REALLY good Cinco de Mayo, then maybe not so happy.)

I spent 1 hour 15 minutes on the trainer this morning.  I really hope it stops raining soon before I go totally stir crazy.  It seems to have lightened up a bit today, but there is still rain in the forecast.  We are coming up on a week of solid rain.  I don't know how people who live in Seattle can stand it.

I have to admit I am a little bummed about the brick thing...cause today I biked 60 miles then drove 45 mins to meet a bunch of Bters and swam 3 loops of the OWS for my race on sunday! Good news is, I get extra points for racing

Hope the weather remains clear here 'cause I HATE biking in the rain!

Good morning teamies!

Not sure what's on tap for today. My schedule has completely changed now that school is almost over. Normally I was in the studio with my students all day Thursday, but today I only a quick meeting at 4. I have so much open time today I am a bit overwhelmed. My house could sure use some cleaning... Might be a good day to do it since the weather may be funky today but supposed to be real nice (and hot) over the weekened...

Something to think about.

What's everyone else up to?

Cheers!

Good morning!

The rain stopped long enough this morning for me to get a 2.25 mile run in.  Yea!  Of course, now it's raining again.  Bleh.

Question about the extra points for races.  Does it have to be a tri, or do I get extra run points if I drag myself to a 5K in the rain on Saturday?

46 min swim then a 58 min run  T1 - 7 mins [had to change out of my suit into my running stuff, not bad considering i got totally naked and had to redress....]

46+58=104+52 (xtra points for doin' a brick) = 156

Nice swim this morning.  Went alittle over my planned minutes because I was so close to swimming a mile that I just had to do it.  Not that alittle extra is a bad thing... Wink
