Got a snow 4 mile run in today.  It was absolutely gorgeous!  I would have gone longer but I only told the family I was gonna do 3.5 miles and Bry was all worried and such.  He's funny.  I love running in the snow.  It is so quiet and peaceful!

Hello Team 1 (Pasty White Tri's, is it?).  Would you be so kind as to let me join your team?  I love the chatty teams and love being tased (OK, not so much, but it's a good motivator).  I don't have goals yet, but can add them tomorrow.  I hope you all enjoyed your holidays and look forward to a month of "chattiness"!

Nicely done. You can continue that for another 30 days.

If you want, I'll even let you borrow one of my cattle prods. They seem to work really well on the cows....

I've got 2 sessions on the bike done.  Feeling very motivated the past couple of days.  I'm hoping the threat of the taser is enough to keep it going.

Way to get out there Lisa!  I had my first half mile in the same conditions.  It was pretty snow but hard to get through.  The road was plowed while I was gone so it wasn't bad on my way home.  Lucky me!

I finally settled on swimming and PT sessions as my goals for the month.  I made it to the gym this morning managed to get in the first swim of the new year.  Holy resolutioners!  I think it took me longer to find a parking spot and an open locker than it did to swim.

Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red...

The resoluters weren't too bad at the Y yesterday, but hubby said today they were out in full force, so I hit the trainer instead. Run on deck tomorrow and it's cold outside (even in the lovely south) - I'll have to decide whether to suck it up or fight the resoluters. (To be fair, I was once a resoluter - I don't really dislike them, I just want to be able to use a treadmill when I get to the Y).

Hey teammates!!!  I am sooooo happy.....I bought a new puter today and now have internet, and sound and all sorts of fun things working again.  Finally got pics up in my blog from yesterday's polar bear plunge and snow angel making.  For those who don't know me I am in RI-- the ocean state---lots and lots of shore line on Narragansett bay and the Atlantic.  It is a common tradition to take a quick dip on New Years Day at high noon.  Lots of folks do it as a fund raiser for various charities....my crazy friends and I (3 MDs among us) just do it for year-long bragging rights.  You only go around once right???

Did my first run of the year this morning.  Actually, it was my first run in over a month.  2*F and snowing, so I only stayed out for 20 minutes, and I walked half the time, but at least I got out there.

Everyone's doing a great job so far! (except for picking a team name...what did we decide on?)

Nice job getting out there in nasty weather!

I too need to run today.  3 miles in 13* weather with a sub 0 degree wind chill and snow.  Sounds fun, huh?  I'm just thankful I don't have my long run today.  (It's tomorrow and the forecast is a bit better)  Winter running is so exciting.  Never a dull day!

oh ya it is "a bit much" seriously!!!!!! I have speed work today and speed and ice do not mix so it's off to the gym to battle the resolutioners! Go PATS!! (I give my "sympathy" to the Giants fans out the but then I think a certain recent super bowl would be mentioned and I do not want that reminder )
