Chaderbox - 2010-07-11 9:08 PM Yeah, the smoothie was pretty nice.  Although I was shocked that some of the other people ordered virtually the most extravagant smoothie they could think of.  I mean, do you really need a 60g protein smoothie, with peanut butter, bananas, oatmeal, chocolate yogurt, and a mix of fat free and soy milk after a try-a-tri?

Well, I might...  then again clydes have different needs

So I have to ask about the umbrella dresses some to the girls are wearing for the podium ceremonies...  Is it "yea" or "nay"?  What say you team?

I dig the dresses.  Not quite so much that I want one of my own, but almost!

Who really needs 60g of protein after a 400y swim, 10K stationary bike, and 2.5K treadmil run?  Not even a clyde like me needed that.

wgraves7582 - 2010-07-12 6:30 AM I saw our team pushing the pace yesterday up the first climb but Bradley cracked - this will not happen to us in real life (on BT!)

Well no need for me to watch it now...    I have been having serious DVR issues with this Tour.  Nothing like watching 3 hours to miss the last 5km...

I told my daughter I was going to buy her the polka dot ones and me the jersey to match - she was not so enthused!!!

They ladies the dresses are on are very nice - the dresses well not so much!

We must be kindred spirits...  That was exactly my thought...  Real cuties up there - what lottery did they win (or lose) to get (have) to kiss the sweaty guys?

Sorry Andy - I was thinking as I typed that I hope no one has not seen it - I didn't give away too much just about our Team Brothers!

My DVR recording cut off with about 2-3K left for the leaders because of time stopped.  I was furious but then remembered someone posted a FB announcement and I knew how it ended but I was pizzed at the time I read the FB post!  We cannot win to lose!

I'm just joking around with you...  probably no way to find the time to watch it anway...

Yesterday was the first day I intentionally set time aside so I FF through all the boring stuff (but luv the Radio Shack Commercials so I have to watch those!) and am waiting for the final 2-3K and the recording stops!  Stupid DVR!!!!!!

Never again (will I not add 30 minutes to the end time to make sure I get to see the whole race!)

Good idea!!  I think my local cable hasn't updated the programming times for versus, all of them seem to be cut off, or...  one day I caught the last 10min of the previous broadcast so it comes on and shows the day's standings as the first thing and then the GC and does a replay of the sprint to the finish...  I just deleted the recording - I was hot about that one...

Hehehe!

I think the try a tri was an excuse for a smoothie with that many calories!

Hey all...I got a bike!!!!

I have been riding my heavy too-large mtb up to this point, but came away from a visit with BT friend with a nicely tri-oriented road bike for the summer.  And it fits!

I am soooooo excited.

Time for me to knock through some of the stages now, eh?

I did a sprint on Saturday - took a little over an hour - probably burned 1200cal or so...  then I put on the serious feedback Sat night...  10 ny strip with a port wine sauce, baked potato with all the trimmings, steamed aspargus (probably the only good healthy food in the entire meal)  Foccacia bread appetizer with three different olive oil dipping sauces, 4-5 beers, and then brownie and ice cream for dessert...  Total consumption was probably 3000cal or more....  so that little try a tri would be a great excuse for a quick 1000cal smoothie

Good GRIEF.

I think they are hiding extra cyclists under there.

At least, that's the only reason I would wear one of those.

Okay, all right, fine, If I got to get paid for standing on a podium and kissing piglets ...
