Subject: RE: Ironman Louisville : Official ThreadHope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, chock full of gluttony! After all, isn't that why we do all of this? Okay, maybe not. But still... Monday will be the first day of focused training for the Carlsbad Marathon (late Jan ). I filled out my training plan today and targeted a goal time of 2:57 - 10 minutes faster than last year. Might be aggressive, but hopefully that will get me out the door a little more often. I really have no excuse living here in San Diego. Spin 3 times a week in the AM and at least 3 run workouts (int, tempo and long ), along with the occasional Saturday long ride / brick - and (maybe ) some swimming - should get me through the winter. Carlsbad, Oceanside 70.3, Boston and Honu 70.3 will make for a busy spring, but should help prep for Louisville. I'll throw in a few local shorter distance events and, depending on how things go in Hawaii, I might look into a tuneup HIM (if there are any that are still open in June ).
