Ive got dodgy ankles and this is the bad one Ive gone over on so Im hoping its more superficial damage than anything else... ie not a real serious sprain and more a bad twist but its feeling not so great right now!

Just thankful that so far my knees are playing ball!

Hows the new job going?


It's off to a slow start, but good so far. I worked 1 day (in addition to my trial) at my location last week, and trained 2 days at another location because ours doesn't have a kinesiologist other than myself. I am off this week because this is the physiotherapist assistant's last week of internship (free labour, I understand). Next week I start regular 3 days a week shifts and wait for full time which should be coming soon.

Good morning Crushers!! I did my first winter run yesterday (only -2c) and it has me questioning the decision to do a half marathon my first winter of training. I think I can do it (post running in cold of course), and decided that I MUST finish all runs outside for November before I make any decisions about that. That way I have time to get used to training outdoors in winter and acclimatize.

I'm a winter pansy...

Apparently my pain cave is up and running again though!! Very excited. I am off to check on it now.

I thought about this and still not sure, but here it goes:

2 run sessions a week, maybe 3.  I'll try to add a bike trainer session in there, too.  I need to change out the tire.  If the family can sneak out to the YMCA on Sundays, I'll try a swim session of about 500 yards.

I'm doing sprints and stuff with the youth basketball league at this time, twice a week, to get those tykes ready for their season.
