The big 4-0 on Nov. 14.

These tri's and my kids keep me young though. I'm hanging in there while it seems my friends and peer group are fading fast. So, I thought I was cool until I came accross all of you kic#in' my a##.

I did finish my first HIM this year mainly with help I received in these forums.

40 doesn't faze me a bit. Who else has been cruising along in a tri and had an "older" individual just fly by on some crazy decked out tri-bike. When my kids are out of school and I can spend a bit on a bike, I can't wait to be that guy.

47 and NOT in the best shape of my life, but I fully intend to be soon. I'm shamelessly aiming for sleek and toned and FAST by 50 -which will involve quite a lot of effort. (Maybe I'll jsut take advantage of Cher's pioneering efforts and have everything I don't like changed surgically???? Okay... that's not for me. I want to do this the old-fashioned way.)

WOW, 35 looks older on the computer screen than I had imagined.  Now I'm depressed.

29 but I've been told numerous times that there is no way that I'm a day over 21. Almost wasn't allowed into a wine festival on Sunday, they were convinced my ID was fake! (My question was who would fake an ID to make it look like they were 29?) I'm sure I'll start to appreciate those comments one day...

44 and getting younger every day.  Get to move up one age group in November but I'm not expecting the competition to get any easier!

43 last week. Big sigh. Did my first "TRY" at 42, despite being hauled out by Boca Ocean Rescue, I crossed the finish line. Lowest body fat of my life. Longest run of my life (7 Mile Bridge Run in Marathon Key, FL). Longest bike rides of my life in prep for the MS150. Clients think I'm in my 30's, but they flirt for lower pricing. Can I be 42 again?!?! LOL

Turning 45 in Nov so next year is a new age group...my 40's decade so far has been great & if I could race my 20 year old self I kick his A$%!

Hey isn't your racing age determined by your age on December 31st of this year? So wouldn't that but you in the 45-49 bracket this year?

I'll mark a post down for the big 2-0. That's why I'm using up whatever young talent I have left in the pool this year. I have plenty of time until I'm 65 to do an ironman.

25 in 2 weeks!  quarter-century - damn!  actually, i can't wait to be 50.  a half century would be awesome - and my inspiration is my parents, who are having hte time of their lives.  i think it's probably the optimum place for wisdom, having grandchildren to spoil and the money to do it, and still having a long time to run around doing cool stuff like tri's!  hats off to the "long in the toothers" on this list

And let me tell you that it's been a banner year (and I've still got seven months of it left to enjoy!)
