Arizona.... Colorado mountains..... I need to get me some of that action!

Instead, I'm leaving shortly to do my longest run ever (18 miles - yikes!) in 6 degree temps with -15 to -5 windchills. What's wrong with this picture???

you can do it laura!!  *cheer cheer*

Wow! And I was complaining about doing 5 today (in the cold).

I'm impressed! I think you deserve to log 36 for getting out and doing it in the bad weather!

Nice going, everyone!!!  Looks like we're on track ... a little cold and bad weather isn't going to stop us.

And Ray - you're awesome, getting those stats up even before slouches like me had a chance to report our mileage to you!

Hey Ray,

For the sake of integrity, and so that we can have TRUE bragging rights when we win this thing, I've got to let you know that you listed my bike miles!  I've cut and pasted my run miles below:

43.54 Mi - 6h 34m 10s
Pace: 9m 03s /Mi

Great job this weekend Midwest Frozen 18.  Way to get out there in the cold!  Haven't caught up on all the blogs, but I know Autumn, James and Laura were out there braving below 0 temperatures!!!  Good job everyone...

Looks like Matt, Lisa and Craig also made the Polar Bear Club!  Good job.

Go DrMac!  18...count them...18 miles on the T-mill!!!  Did you have to take sedatives after that run?

Okay everyone ... this is the homestretch!!  We're right in the middle of the pack with the updated stats out there -- let's go get 'em!!

Way to go drmac on the 100 miles!!  That's awesome!

I will finish out my goal this weekend with my longest run ever - my last long run, in fact, before my first marathon in 24 days.  (YIKES!!!!)   Hopefully the temp will be a little warmer than the 5 degrees I ran in last weekend, which created some interesting problems, with different things freezing up on me.....

thanks you, lisa! i know i haven't gotten in as many miles as i should, but maybe i could get some extra credit miles for running in -30 wind chill? i know i probably won't get in 20+ miles in the next couple days - the weather is not my excuse, its that i had a taper at the beginning of the month before my first tri of the year...and then this week i had (yet another) cold! anyway, i have a 6+ run planned tomorrow, and am hoping to do another 6+ run on tuesday (high of 36!!! woo hoo!).

I'm meeting a running group for an afternoon run. The e-mail they sent out said, "distance TBD" but they rarely go less than 7 miles. It's a sunny day with less wind, so it should be a good run. That will put me within 7 miles of my 100 mile goal. Easily do-able in the last 2 days of the month (unless I break and ankle or something!)

Go Midwest Team!!!!

i finished too!!  yay!  everyone let's do it!  if this challenge is like other challenges, it doesn't matter how much drmac rocks and goes over - his score is maxed out at 100% so anyone who doesn't hit their goal is not offset by how much he goes over!  i.e. hit the pavement peeps - let's rock this joint!

 go midwest!!!

i'm in new haven visiting fiance right now, and the northeast sucks .  hooray for midwest!

Great job everyone! Looks like we're all finishing up strong!!

20 miles today!!! (actually, 20.25 miles, just to show off a little )

That puts me at 103.48 for the month, meeting my goal of 95!! And, I might even get a run in before the end of the month, not that it matters.... for me, though, over 100 miles in one month is also another PB.
