Yeah, lets give it a bit, I don't want to pull out just yet. I will rest it up to a week and see how it feels. Don't worry I won't push it and screw it up. If after a week I'm still in the same boat I'll pull it into the docks and call it a month. I want to stay in the challenge but not at the expense of the big picture (triathlon next month). Hence I will continue to cheer the bloody batty Vampires into a tremendous victory and hopefully because I met my challenge as well. Go Vampires!

So do we need a different mascot or are you going to play to role until you heal up.

On the more real side... next months tri is way more important than this months challenge.  So get well!

I will continue to play the Mascot and wave the almighty Vampire Flag (sorry pom, pom's are out for this cat, or should I say Bat ) Besides staying involved is important because we all need the motivation and I assume that is why this site was created. So once again, GO VAMPIRES!!!

Ok you can imagine me waving the flag now and not shaking my pom pom's. LOL

Are you sure about the pom poms.... I used to own a pair from a fancy dress party (no prizes for guessing what I went as) so I can look in the back of the closet and see if I can find them for you

I have to interject here... No pom-poms. Maybe a themed towel (ie terrible towel, victory towel, etc.) but pom-poms are really over done. Come on Hero's has a pom-pom and therefore I'm drawing a line.

Wave your flag, spin a towel over your head, maybe even bang the inflatable thunder sticks together, but no pom-poms.

"Thunder sticks", now there's an idea. On that note no pom pom's. Thunder sticks and flags (flying bat flag of course).

Wait a minute, thunder sticks remind us of stakes, vampires don't do stakes. No stakes, back to the 1 pom pom and the flag. LOL

HCS5QA - 2007-10-10 7:30 PM Ok after this morning's run I'm out for the count, at least for this week. The doc told me nothing important other then the common sense stuff I already knew (rest, elevation and ice it down), what did I expect from a regular military Doc as opposed to a sports knowledgeable one. Hence I will continue to cheer lead you until I can run again hopefully real soon. Go Vampires!

Feel better soon! Rest does amazing things when we are down. If you aren't to continue, without risking your race calendar, just shake those pom poms!

Alright Vampires... I did some number crunching this evening. Looks like we need to step it up to cover the unfortunate news of injury to HCS5QA and shawn barr. I really wish both of you quick recoveries and the best of health.

As it looks right now Christris is smoking this week with 50.3% complete, Dolores is a close second with 49.8% and Bajapat is in third at 46.7%.

Beware you Top 3. I'm on your heals with a 10 miler planned for the weekend. If you want to keep the lead you better get above 58%

Hello Vampires! Its been a tough week for me - in a funk and then an exam Thursday evening. I have been really glad to get my runs in this week - I did them just for you! The motivation hasn't really been there but its better now that my test is done. Great job on the number crunching too - thanks for that. We are doing AWESOME!! GO VAMPIRES - KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Hi Vampires,

Great day for a run in my part of the world. Mild temps and very low humidity - an awesome combination! Got a short run in with more coming later.

I might seem absent over the next few days because I will be traveling. I might not post but I will be keeping track of my miles and will log when I return.

Everyone have a great day and keep up the good work!

Poison apples don't do a thing to vampires... that whole immortal thing.

How's everyone doing almost end of week 2? Sounds like we are smokin!
Everyone take care of yourselves. Let's hope for quick recoveries & no more injuries.

Thanks again, JC, for tallying.

Its too cold and rainy this weekend.  Make sure y'all stay out of that weather and logging miles.  And treadmills?  Blech!  Take it nice and easy.  You deserve it.  No, really, you do.

Love,

I just wanted to share the day with everyone - after a tough week of just STUFF and more junk. After walking the dog this afternoon, I had to stop and take in the view. Man, I just love living here! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
