OK I see some cheating going on, DEXTER wants to drop out at 60%, claims marathon recovery, I don't buy it. Swimming is good for recovery. I call it lack of planning and should not be dismissed. Fair is Fair. I busted my but to fit it all in with sick kids and even on vacation.  It is called a challenge!

Does is matter that we have more swimmers when is comes to the numbers?

Oh no...he's a friend of mine and I'm gonna ride him like a horse on this one!!!

aquagirl - 2009-05-26 6:16 PM I will do a recovery swimmy tomorrow....today was glorious long run day. But tomorrows swim will put me over my goal, so what do I do? Can you go over 100%?

The challenge is capped at 100%. You can go over, but you don't get any extra points.

HI ladies... I will get in the pool and finish up my goal...if it kills me! LOL. I've been sick this long weekend...it sucks! I have a race next weekend and I honestly don't know when my lungs are going to be able to suck some air in without hacking out a lung. UGH!
But... I'm almost there so I will finish...just might not be with any major yardage but I'm in for number of swims anyhow.

Usually if someone has not reached x% by the middle of a challenge they get dropped... cant remember what the ruling was... do we have anyone we need to worry about? (I cant access google spreadsheets from work)

Do you know what that % is? We have few at 25-40% and few more at 50%, it is hard to find these people to see if they just need updating...

It was usually something like if you havent reached at last 30% of your goal by the middle of the month...

Time to send some PMs around maybe?

Sorry its not my challenge this month so i cant make the ruling but generally its common to loose a few during the month..

Contact MDHillSlug regarding low percentages and such.  I PM'ed all the slackers on our team and FINALLY got responses regarding their intentions and having to drop them.

I understand life gets in the way, but it shouldn't stop someone from COMMUNICATING with their team that they made a commitment to be on, unless something tragic has happened.

Tritwinmom - NOT your call.  As stated above, it was approved.

Regarding the 0% - one of my own teammates did that and mentioned it to Yanti or MDHillSlug.  Those persons were made aware of the situation.  Any questions, ask them.

I was "volunteered" to contact the "less than active" persons (I didn't want to be "the hammer", or, in the eyes of D001/Deeder, "the taser" ).  The issues are being communicated with appropriately, and if there is a problem with that, take it with the organizer.

I wish ALL people that join a challenge could be as responsible as us - it makes situations like this non-existent.

Good morning ladies!  (And Phil!)

I did my last scheduled swim of the month this morning.  2000 yards, which puts me at 100%+.

Now I can sit back and cheer on the rest of you while you swim, SWIM, SWIM!

We're doing a great job, and I am so looking forward to a month of boy assatars on the forums.

This could mean that I'm a post-wh0re and would get the thread there quicker, or, the ladies don't wish to talk while I'm around and the thread would not get to that page and die before then.

Okay...who friggin' stole the month of May?!?

Sorry about being incognito for the past couple of weeks. It was one of those "one-thing-after-the-other" group of events: hubby's hospital trip and overnight stay (missed swim); travel to VA (no computer); flight canceled for trip home (missed swim); finally go to pool...pool closed.

Oy Vey.

I ended up getting partially caught up last week, finally. Felt good to swim again. I am swimming tonight and will squeeze the remaining swims in at the end of the week.

Cutting it close, I know, but it's the best I can do.

I won't let the girls down.

I won't.

Yanti set up this challenge but didn't include any instructions about this in the challenge rules. I'm just trying to keep the challenge going.

We can't really force someone to remain in the challenge but I suppose we (Boys and Girls) should try to come to an agreement on when someone can drop.

We've got someone on our team who joined the challenge and is logging activity every day but has only completed 25% of goal. I'd love to drop her, but it doesn't seem fair.

So, proposals for drop rules?
