On the way to the PT office  I saw the guide dogs out and about for their training workout.  A couple of the younger ones were being pretty naughty puppies. There is a school for the blind and a guide dog training center in the town where I live.  Now that would be a very cool job..... training seeing eye/guide dogs.

Artemis:  How is your fund raising going?  I have only one phrase for you "Go Team."  I started with TNT and love it.  My wife has been a mentor and a web captain for the TRI teams.   She was going to do the Half Mary this year--and blew up her knee.

It's going ok.  I have about $175 of the $500.  I have until July 7th to get the rest of it, but am waiting for responses from family.  I sent out a bunch of letters recently.  Any advice or things that have worked well for you and your wife?

My dad has done this ride a few times and really enjoyed it, so I think it will be fun.  My adviser is also a TNT mentor for marathons.  He's done at least 4 with TNT and I'm not sure which one he's training for now.

Do an email blast.  Hit everyone with your compelling story.  Don't leave anyone off. One person that just I started to work with was questionable to whether I would ask him to donate gave $250.  Remind everyone who gives about company matching--my company will match 50% to 100%.

It will surprise you who donates and who does not.

Also, check out my albums.  I posted my fat picture.   It isn't as sexy as Roni's photos.  Not by a long shot...

Also, I blew up on my bike threshold test.  I'm heading home and will try to retake the test (hopefully successful) before the kid's swim event tonight.

I do most of my workouts first thing in the AM so my after shower is my shower for the day.

I let my workout clothes accumulate and wash it once a week.

As if tri's arent enough of a time challenge, anybody participate in any other sports?  I play in a recreational soccer league.  We have a spring and fall season.  Lots of fun, although the mayhem of women's soccer is cause for some concern.  Two players on my team blew out knees this season.  I think I mostly play for the post game snacks and beer.

Last year I tried to participate in a golf league but it was very disappointing for me because due to training that was the only day of the week I could play, so I never really got in a grove. This year I just dropped the sport completely (I'm a bit of a golf snob, I was really good in HS, but now I'd rather just not play instead of play sparingly and not be as good as I could be)

Well my plan for running tomorrow was going to be tempo intervals, but my legs are pretty wasted from my ride tonight, so maybe just an easy pace instead. We'll see...

Hey Junebugs, have been out of the loop lately.  It's performance review week.

I have a doctor's appt for a physical this morning (going to scout camp with my son for a week).

Work has been busy, but I should have time to get back to running tomorrow.

I'm not EVEN going to try and catch up on this thread.  I'll start here with a clean slate.
