It's easy when you don't talk to more than 3 people a day and your football team wins.

my team DID win - but all the other teams that needed to lose also won.  meh.

It hurt to root for the Cowboys at all, I just couldn't do it.  Luckily they won and we get the bye.

i had to root for the TEXANS, then the RAIDERS AND CHIEFS, luckily it never came down to cheering for the nati.  i could not have done it.

I was rooting for the Texans anyway, I like them. The Raiders and the Chiefs, well...I guess I'm ok with KC.  Who was out there in the Cincy uni's though?  Random bums?

i guess they figured they had no reason to play.  (cough pats cough)   i didn't even watch the game since the steelers were already dead, but i wish i would have seen a little bit of it after checking the scores this AM!

I've never seen a QB play for more than a half and end up with stats like Palmer's. 1-11 for 0 yards and an INT.  That's ridiculous.

That's no fun at all.  I fell down the stairs at my dad's house over Christmas.  I have a nice bruise on my arm just under the spot that's all discolored from the bone sticking through it.  That was not fun.

I'm going to have a huge bone bruise on my right forearm.  There's a tiny hint of a bruise and a huge bump from the blood underneath.  Hurts when I put any weight on it.  Not fun at all.

I think I lucked out and didn't get a really deep bruise, but I guess the metal plate probably prevents some of that.

The metal plates themselves can hurt, though.  My bro has one in ankle to reconnect the fibula - he broke it through and it shifted and wouldn't line up anymore.  Happened about 7 years ago and it hurts him sometimes now.  It's not fun.

Nope.  He talked to his ortho and they may have to take it out.  Unfortunately, that would mean 4 weeks in a wheelchair and a few months in a cast to make sure the bone re-heals correctly.

Fair enough.  If it makes you feel better, the nasty recovery is because it's his ankle and the fibula is a small bone.  Plus, his doc said that doesn't happen very often.
