Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: November CRUSHERS Emmanem - 2010-11-23 1:01 AM I am so tired!!! Ready to be done with school work... Remind me why I wanna go to Grad school??? Because it's way more fun than undergrad, the students are way more smarter , it's way less work, and if you attend and breathe in your classes you're pretty much guaranteed at least a B. |

Completed my first half mary yesterday. Ultimate goal was to finish which I did. Super goal was finish under 2:30 and I finished in 2:37 which was great considering the conditions. We were in the mid 70s on race day, 61% humidity and winds gusting to 20. Gotta say for the "flat mary" that I was thinking I was doing, uphill for the first 1.5 miles, rolling hills through mile 8.5 I was far from flat. Didn't walk until between mile 10 and 12 fighting the shot blocks to stay down. Realized late in the game that I need to think about salt for the next one. I don't know the first thing about it but I think I should have taken some yesterday since I was caked in it when I was finished. Still happy about the finish and will have to post my medal - it "spins". Today - short 2 mile walk (slowly) and some core. Thighs are a bit sore and my feet have numerous blisters on my toes even though I body glided, wore wicking socks and had 1/2 size larger shoes that weren't new on. Overall not that bad.. Hubby even offered to train and run my next one with me. I love him for the offer since he ISN'T the running type. Hope everyone is doing well. Stacie CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: November CRUSHERS I got a bike ride in yesterday and got some cold weather challenge points. Earlier in the day I was all excited to get more points on a run but by the time I got home last night at 9:30 (after starting work at 5) and needing to start work at 5 again today, it just didn't happen. I hope to be awake enough this afternoon to get out and do another ride and to go running after work. It might be tough to start work at 5 but it sure is nice to finish up at 2 (as long as thing go ok). I don't know if I could do it every day though. |

Guess my forced swi focus is helping something. I bet during 2011 triathlons you will be happy about this forced swim focus when you're shattering your old records! |
