I am tired. Did not sleep well. It's going to be a long day.

I bet you are tired. That was some hiking you did yesterday. Sounds like the kiddos had a good time over all. Love the pic you posted of the "wild life'. How come you couldn't sleep after all that exercise and outdoor air? Sounds like a nail biter game the other night, too. That makes for a great game rather than a pure route on either side. Watching a game like that can be a cardio workout, too.

I was tired. I wanted to go to bed at 6:00 last night. I couldn't get comfortable though, my legs were twitching and spasming all night. I'm wearing compression sleeves on my calves right now, hopefully they'll settle down so I can sleep tonight.

Ooooh I hate when that happens, that is so dang frustrating. I hope the compression sleeves work for you.

I had a nice weekend. Friday ran around with errands and finished a book and took a walk in the evening.

Saturday, I went to watch my tennis team play. Then hubby and I did a couple of errands and picked up the movie Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. It was very touching and we liked it.

Sunday was a very lazy day. Did work in the yard and do laundry, but otherwise read until we had to go to a wedding up at Lake Lanier. We only knew the groom, his parents and his sister, but we ended up having a really good time.

Monday was the day from he double hockey sticks at work. The computers had been down all weekend, so we had two days worth of books to get checked in and shelved not counting the books coming in on Monday, along with phones ringing off the hooks because people were concerned that their books had not been checked in and then to end the day we had a magician for the summer reading program with over 250 people in the building. All in all everything went well considering. Really can't complain. All the staff pitched in and got the work done.

I expect today to go much smoother. Plus I get to go over to another branch for a goodbye party for a staff member who is moving to Montana. Big change there.

Sounds like a nice and busy weekend follwoed by a frenetic Monday. Glad to see you are taking care of your back. (Is the upcoming whitewater trip... is that doctor approved? )

FWIW, I didn't get a new dress for the wedding, I just figured that no one would be looking at my legs with all the beautiful scenery and bride around.

I have not asked about the White water trip.

Today is a long day at work. Meetings this morning. Prep for tomorrows all day meeting this afternoon. Answering the phones this evening. Tomorrow is just as long, meeting all day then go and close the branch in the evening. Luckily Friday will be a short day, out by 3pm.

Rough night last night. I ended up working from 6:30 to 11:30 last night. I crawled in bed at 12:27 this morning, and climbed out of bed at 5:21. I'm at work now. I work until 1, then I'm off to the pain clinic. I only have to work 5 hours tomorrow, and I'm going to do those from home.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I'm WFH today. I had taken a vacation day Tuesday, but since I put in 5 hours Wednesday night, I figured I only needed to pick up an extra 3 and I could save my vacation day. We had storms go though last night so my kayak class was cancelled. I worked some from home, and changed my timesheet. WOOT!

Today is the first day of summer vacation for my kiddos. My son had a friend spend the night. The boys will occupy themselves in the basement all day with the xbox and their pokemon cards. My daughter is going to go down to grandma's for awhile. I only have to work until 1:00, then I think I'm going to take them all miniature golfing this afternoon.

We got mail this weekend. It was the packet containing the information from having Keri tested for learning disabilities. The kid tested off the charts in math, her IQ was higher than I expected, and she can't read. I wonder what she would test at for IQ if she could read. In some of the areas related to reading/language she tested in the 1% percentile. They classified it as Specific Learning Disability, which apparently is some generic term they use now instead of just saying "Dyslexia" or something else. We will have to have a few meetings with the school and she will have an IEP in place for the fall.

Morning Ghoulies.

I am home for the day. Got the Mom semi-settled in next door and I am now trying to catch up at work and un-pack and pack up at the same time to head to Raleigh for a couple of days. Un-fun.

It is VERY good to be home. My Bro and SIL are about as un-like me in every way and their house is a zoo. Literally. 5 dogs and 3 cats. The dogs bark ALL THE TIME. Even at night. I was smart an brought ear plugs this time. Sheesh.
