Attention TAN:

Second post-operation run was better than the first.  Not much better, but still better.

I have the house all to myself for approximately 48 hours this weekend.

That is all.

Howsyer ticker doing, most importantly, and secondarily, the catheter insertion site?

I was quite entertained by this.  The amount of swearing and pacing in the morning increases exponentially when you've forgotten that you've got to be at work early.

And it looks like I will be taking another quick trip out to the southwest in the near future, to Vegas this time.  My stepmother was put in hospice and will likely not live more than a few days.

Ticker is fine.  The wound is better.  There is a communication between the vein and the artery, but not serious enough to warrant intervention.  So, pretty much good to go.

And of course the mayor is here, as is an executive editor, Tommy C., and a few other VIPs. Why today of all days did I oversleep?

Yesterday Ann Romney was here at the the Women's Center.  I find out about this while I am at work dressed in my bleach stained shirt and pants.  Luckily they didn't decide to bring her on a tour of the research facility like they like to do with VIPs.  They take them to show them the Cool equipment in the cores like microarray and that would not have looked good for me.  When John McCain was here I was playing the music from the musical Hair in the lab.

I love Pumpkin Pie!!!!!

It was delicious.  Maybe not so nutritious... but I just don't care this morning.  Besides, I've got an hour and a half bike ride coming up so I figure I'll burn off about a third of the calories I ingested.

True - though the pie crust and condensed milk are decidedly NOT paleo.  But as I previously stated... I just don't care this morning!  Though my reasoning as to WHY I should have the pie for breakfast went something like this:  If I eat it now, it'll be out of the house and I won't be tempted anymore.  So I should just eat it and put myself out of the agony of such temptations.  Seemed to work.

Hiya TAN. I'm in a boatload of pain, but just trying to take it one day at a time and accept wherever it is I'm at.

Okay. Doing dog training and riding on the trainer was also a shyty idea.

Look at it this way, you are a stone's throw from being all better.  How big of a rock did you make?

Let's all chug a pint of aqua pura with Yanti.

Hugs and lots of sympathy.  Once upon a time, I watched JWKMH writhe in the floor of the bathroom with a kidney stone.  It was not a good night.  I really am praying for this to be last medical training exercise you give your ER doc for a long while.

ratherbeswimming - 2012-10-11 10:33 AM I hate pumpkin pie, but I love pumpkin pancakes and smoothies. I might have to stop and pick up some pumpkin on the way home today...

oooh pumpkin pancakes...good idea.  i hate how pumpkin recipes always call for 1 cup of pumpkin but the can is 1-7/8 cups.  i never know what to do with that last 7/8 cup.  have a half-can sitting in the fridge right now!

Mmmm - pumpkin pancakes!

I even have a paleo recipe somewhere for those...  I should try to make 'em one of these days... or make Tony make them.
