cdban66 - 2012-11-20 6:30 AM Adrienne, I've a question for you, since you are the only S-Bux employee I know. How can I tip using my card or app? If it can be done, I don't know how. If it can't be done, get this enabled and you'll have a huge number of eternally grateful barristas reviews were good. I hope to get some trail runs in this winter. Now it is time to head off to work.

The ol tip jar has always been an interesting subject. Short answer, no you cannot currently tip using your card or the app. BUT the plan is to have an app for tipping coming out this summer. For now, try and carry cash as those baristas work their tails off (not that I need to tell you that) and do more or less get a little shafted with paying with cash being sort of a lost art.

Yeah I usually do, but occasionally I don't have cash on me. When I have cash I have no willpower. And that means I empty Reece's vending machine. I am that bad when it comes to junk food.

We always try to have some cash for barista tips. We pay with the app (thanks for the idea Salty) too.

I find that if I don't have the cash, I don't buy the coffee. So, a sale is lost. Thus I need the app that will be available this summer. Salty, if they need someone to test, I am ready, willing and able.

I'm not in any way affiliated with that department but hey, if I ever heard they need testers I will let you know. I just so happen to be in the food /beverage testing pool though. Mmmm mmmm!

And funny you say that, I am heading up to REI today to do UX testing.

User experience testing. This is specific to their smartphone app.

reecealan - 2012-11-20 11:26 AM I now own the fruit pie and zingers (they were the last ones).  I wonder if this will be the last time an entire row of a vending machine it Hostess...

I will take the Cheetos, the pie and those peanut M&Ms please and thank you.

Interesting....I'll take the row of cookies, and the row of chocolate below that.

Waaait, are you analyzing my snack food choices too? Wink

Hey, when are you coming down to Seattle again? Also, Ima be up at Whistler the 30-31 and 1 juuuuusstttt saaaayin'!

Not at all!  interesting that you would pick salty first.  Me, I like the salt, but sweets will win out 95% of the time...

Not sure when I am back down your way, but we should def try to get together when you are in Whistler.  We don't have plans right now, cause we are pathetic.  Last year we walked down to our neighbors at midnight and said HNY.  Woooooooo, party animals!

Yeah, the half inch or so of mud on top of each post made it that much more fun! In truth, it was probably my favorite obstacle--this was the first one--I fell off about three posts later.

OMG, I would seriously injure myself! I can barely walk down the street with rolling my ankle!  I actually fell in a divet in the sidewalk once and sprained my toe the night before a race!

And this beauty was stalking me on my run last night (i was a bit afraid he was going to take off with my dog)

Now I'm off to catch up on RRs

Oooh, I love owls! Badger Jen Moose (Artemis) has a tattoo of one.

What a great pic of niece and pug. Good to hear from you; as you know, many of us have been praying/thinking/cheering for her oh, and there is a marvellous Pugsley cheese!

Just FYI.

I do!  I love them.  My little one keeps trying to figure out how to get the tattoo off my arm.  Or she tries to eat it.

I posted the owl picture on FB and one of my nieces was fascinated by it, asking me all kinds of questions about where it was and how big it was. She loves animals! I keep telling her she needs to figure out how to work with animals for a living. She's a single mom and just getting by. She worked at a wildlife refuge in Colorado for a while as a volunteer.

There are lots of Distance Education Vet tech programs--hard work, but soooooo worth it!

https://www.avma.org/ProfessionalDevelopment/Education/Accreditation/Programs/Pages/vettech_distance_learning.aspx

Thanks for the info! I'll pass it along to her.

Been there, bought the T-Shirt. I now have emergency money in my ashtray and in my bento box on my bike. You never know when a coffee emergency will strike. The lengths we'll go to are a bit much, but I gotta have it.

Huh, that's interesting. My DH gets eggnog in all of his chai-s this time of year. I try to mitigate the caloric expense and do it occasionally.
