- 2008-06-17 2:30 PM hey team.. I'm back

missed ya.  What are your thoughts about old chinese proverbs?

it varies.. are you thinking of one in particular?

No, just in general.  I saw a movie that had several that made me realize how much I like them...

The one that jumped out (i'm repeating myself) was "often destiny is on the path one takes to avoid it" - it's actaully a FRENCH proverb if you look it up.  But you know what I mean, all the wise old sayings the kung fu master says....

on the lines of:

"A man who has committed a mistake and doesn't correct it is committing another mistake." --Kung Fu-Tzu (better known as Confucius)

"Study without reflection is a waste of time; reflection without study is dangerous." --Kung Fu-Tzu

"When anger arises, think of the consequences." --Kung Fu-Tzu

Those and Japanese axioms always give me gas.

Yeah. Like you've never farted. I farted a lot during the race. Extra propulsion and such.

Aikidoman - 2008-06-17 4:09 PM I just put the wicked witch theme song from the Wizard of Oz as my wife's ring tone, a la "Knocked up".  I think it's sooooo funny.....
A friend of mine has the `Darth Vader' song as his for when his g/f calls.

Dude, HAD to download that....

It's called the "Imperial March"  That's sooooo hilarious....  However, I may save myself some trouble and just make it the default ringer and not make it specifically for the wife.

I like fortune cookie sayings. In fact we were going to open a fortune cookie company with funny sayings like `That wasn't chicken (meow).' or `Tell your girl `Tony' says what up.' And such.

Neither although I think you could argue that the angle of the meeting could affect the outcome.

Dang - roughest part of the day for me.....  Two hours left of a 10 hour day (including lunch) - TAN (and BT for that matter) slows to a crawl as everyone to the east is out having fun or eating dinner (I'm hungry too)....

bah....

This may not be in the spirit of proper pistachio enjoyment, but trader joes offers a 1 lb. bag of roasted, salted, and shelled pistachio nutmeats (insert joke here) FOR THE SAME PRICE as a 1lb bag of roasted and salted pistachios in the shell.

So now I am enjoying pistachio awesomeness without the work....  God bless the the pistachio industry and God bless the USA....

- 2008-06-17 7:15 PM and then there was just me.. so so lonely

I am sorry you are lonely.  I will be getting into one of the largest production SUV's Thursday with five kids for a 4600 mile adventure.  I will be craving loneliness after about 100 miles.

I am blessed with a very short memory.  If I did such a trip I must have forgotten therefore the lesson......not learned.

I have room for another....should I swing by the penalty box and pick you up?
