mr2tony - 2012-04-12 2:16 PM Yeesh wondering if the guys all talked about tying someone up and DPing them, and it was a woman, how well that'd go over. Can't you guys let a new person at least introduce themselves before starting in with the innuendo? You jumped the gun so hastily that you didn't even know it was a woman. It's fun amongst friends but if you don't know the person it just comes off as creepy and not everybody likes it. Some people are OK with it and join in and it's all good fun but if someone doesn't, we'll never see them again and TAN becomes ``that weird thread with all the innuendo.'' I mean, it already is, but can we at least TRY to be a little more subtle?

I found that the lack of subtly was what made the thread interesting to me.   It was a bit refreshing.

Couldn't agree more.

and of course the whole pages worth of commentary on taking a dump this morning wasn't weird.

Hey I have no problem with the topics at hand -- I'm one of the worst offenders on BT when it comes to innuendo and trashy toilet humor but you have to at least admit that saying you're going to tie someone up and that they're cool if they're into DP MIGHT be a little off-putting for someone who hasn't been around for a while like we all have. Especially after their FIRST POST IN TAN!

I thought it was the thread about nudity.

short answer NO

So you'd rather be known as ``that weird thread with all the innuendo'' and not a welcoming fun place for new people? I know of several former regulars who avoid this thread at all costs because it's too racy. So, in other words, it's become `TAN for people who like to talk about sex and make innuendo.' Which is fine, but I dunno, I think it'd be fun to talk about other things from time to time.

And I will reiterate why is your junk and better or any different from anyone else's junk except that it is your junk and you approve of it.

You're missing the point. I am asking that you don't jump on the new people the second they walk into TAN. What is wrong with saying hello and maybe, I dont know, finding out if they're male or female before asking them if they like DP and then threatening to tie them up? I do NOT do that. Because if I did, as a guy, I'd be not only creepy but probably would get kicked off BT.

You have tunnel vision. Take a step back and look at it from an outsider's point of view. You will see that it's not just me. A lot of people who used to post here don't anymore and I've been told by some that it's creepy and all innuendo and they're not comfortable with that. I'm not trying to create trouble, I'm trying to improve TAN and make it more welcoming to new (and old) people.

How about we start a "Come overly flirt thread" and everyone could go at it and not one person would complain. TAN in its basic form is meant for BSing. So really if the people that like the flirting why not just make a thread for it? Seems like a logical solution or compromise were everyone that goes into the thread knows what is going on.

I wasn't allowed to watch it either, but when I was in college it was syndicated and I've since seen every episode.

I will never admit that my mom was right, but a lot of the stuff that was on the show was way over my matuirty level for high school.

I didn't turn into a super freak until college.

I'm not sure why but the word "flirt" has always struck me as odd.  There has to be a better word than flirt?

Well, I think there are points to each side. I do think sometimes the innuendos go over the top and when it is page after page it's a little obnoxious, but what is the solution? No flirting in TAN? That's extreme. I am not saying anyone suggested that but how do you manage it?

We're all adults here, except Cord, so can't we be self-policing?

Really, I am not trying to destroy TAN, I helped create it (been around since like TAN 5 or something crazy) but I feel it's gotten out of hand and we're not getting many new people. Some is fine but when you're talking about DPing and tying up someone the moment they wander in, that seems over the top.

All I'm asking is that people at least say `hi' to someone before offering to go S&M on them!

I as well amigo.  But my facebook status updates were exceeding maximum length and stupid twitter would only give me 140 characters.  Therefore a blog was the answer.
