It looks so nice -- better than before. I can't believe he did it -- in about three weeks. Wow. So, when my son asked why he did it, I just said, "Because he loves me." That's is love! You are one lucky lady! x2, that's so cool. |

Master 6595 Rio Rancho, NM | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Felicia, isn't it amazing what they will do for us, and us for them? Well I'm finally starting to come out of my pity party and appreciate what I did on Saturday. As I mentioned the other day I'm thinking I should become a card-carrying (paying) member of BT so I can benefit from the more detailed plans. My question, should I start with silver and see how it goes? I like that the gold plan starts with your current level but I'm wondering if the silver isn't sufficient. Thoughts? I was just looking at the silver level, OLY, family friendly plan. It looks pretty good! Of course it also has 1150m of swimming in 25 minutes which is totally not happening in my world |

Master 4452 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod I have been on the silver plan from the start-- got a really good deal in Nov--half off or something like that. Just renewed a few weeks ago. It has worked for me so far.. Although, yes, in the beginning, there was a lot of swim workouts that took a lot longer than the plan said!!! |

Of course it also has 1150m of swimming in 25 minutes which is totally not happening in my world Well, provided I don't get struck by lightning or smote in some other fashion, I will confess that certain parts of my BT plan just don't get executed, for instance, the run distances. Coming off my Achilles issue, I am in no position to be running 3, 4, 5 miles just yet, so I incorporated my own 5K plan to the mix, building it up slowly. No, it doesn't show up on the plan, but I know what I am doing when. And yeah, I totally agree that some of the swim distances per time limits don't get executed quite the way they lay it out, either! I make sure I put in the distance even if I can't do it in the time they specify. |

Master 6595 Rio Rancho, NM | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Thanks for the info Kirsten & Melanie. I think i'll give the silver a try and see if that is individualized enough for what I need. Hopefully it'll push me to HTFU! |

Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Speaking of training plans for the day, I am supposed to run (in order to keep up with my 5K plan) and bike today. I usually like running on the trail on the way home from work, but I wonder if I should run the trail, then go home and bike or go straight home, bike, then turn it into a brick and run. What would the manatees do? |

What would the manatees do? I prefer to bike, then run. For me, my rides are higher quality when they don't follow a run and I feel my runs are at a decent quality after a bike ride. Depends on the goal of the workout. If I need to hammer out some sold intervals on the run, the quality of those won't be as good after a hard bike ride. So in that case I would run first. |

Yeah, that is really the key. I believe bricks have a time and a place but in most cases a quality run and a quality bike trumps all. |

The time and place for bricks is 1) if you need the mental preparation of overcoming whatever it is your legs feel like running off the bike; 2) if there's really no other way to get a short bike and short run in on the same day except consecutively. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Worst. Day. Ever. Okay, not ever. But if Worst Day Ever is a 10, today was a solid 9. I realize that the vast majority of the world's population would give their eyeteeth for my 9. And for the things that were good today ... I'd give my eyeteeth for too, if I had to, like love, food, and shelter. I can handle things like disasters and international crises pretty well. But today was just on a whole different plane, out of the blue, and involved a deeply personal betrayal. I don't use the word "betrayal" lightly. It means that you harmed and continue to put one or more of my most loved ones in serious jeopardy. Not an easily solved set of spaghetti-like matters, and unfortunately, it does involve some very sensitive and possibly dangerous politics. And that's actually the least worst thing about it. For the good news, I felt well enough to get in a short bike and run in today. I felt horrible afterward, but then again, I felt horribler before. On the whole, it was probably better than strangling people. Maybe. |

Anyway, I was wrong and that looks amazing. It does usually have kiwifruit on it, although there are all kinds of Pavlova. Now I'm drooling, which is excellent, because I really haven't wanted to eat anything all day, though I did have a couple of tortillas with black beans earlier. |
