I got in 45 minutes of swimming.  First swimming of the month.  Felt nice to be back in the pool.  I still hate my goggles.  One pair leaks and the other pair always fogs up.  They are driving me crazy.

saling4 - 2008-09-11 9:28 PM How come it says I don't have access to the spreadsheet anymore?
Oh, didn't I tell you? You've been voted off the team. Just kidding, of course. But you probably do need to sign back in. If you can't access the spreadsheet: Scroll to the bottom, and look at the bottom right corner. (Although the message MAY be at the top right side, too.) If it says, "edit this page," click that link and enter the info below. You will need to enter the following information: email address: [email protected] password: challengeforum

Dee,  When I get to the spreadsheet and hit "edit page",  That is when it telss me I do not have permossion and to ask for it.

Just finished an 8 mile run. I live downtown and they have the Tribute of Light up for September 11. I had that as my view for the 5 miles I ran south. It was a really nice run.

I'm slowly but surely catching up!

Goggles suck. I am on my 5th pair and I've only been swimming since May!

I don't even want to think about how many pairs of goggles I've gone through.  I swam my 4 years of high school and now tri training...it adds up to way too many.

I just bought the TYR Nest Pros at the Ironman expo and am hoping to try them out on Saturday. I'd give anything to find a non-leaky and comfortable pair!

I usually have really good luck with the Speedo Women's Vanquishers, but the last pair I bought really suck.  I think it's just random.  I'd like to find something more comfortable though.  Maybe I'll go back to kids goggles...

Tomorrow I have a 5Kmoonlight run... but today I was feeling pain in my ankles, presumably from the gym workouts - stationary bike and treadmill - hopefully I CAN run tomorrow.

Get the googles by speedo. I forgot the exact name, but you can find them for about $10 at a sporting goods store. I had a pair last for 4 years before I had to replace it. The only reason I had to replace it was because they finally literally broke in half- they don't have any problems with leaking at all. I am now on my second pair and they are just as great!

Also, make sure you don't have the goggles adjusted too big for your face. My googles are never uncomfortable, but they do leave red marks around my eyes for a few minutes when I get out of the pool.

I might try the "mask" type goggles next time.  They look much more comfortable.

Subject: RE: Team Post Padding (Four-Is-More Challenge)
I'm lousy at post-padding.

I'm lazy at training.

But I promise to do better.

My numbers from this week suck, but at least I've gotten off the couch.
