I have no idea what you are talking about, but I am a little intrigued.

You guys are in a spunky mood today!  (well, it seems to have carried over from yesterday!) Count me in, too   I vote pool, real bike ride and TM or outside run.

Holly, good job getting out in OWS.  One tip that helped me was to get in the water, move around, let some water into your suit and then pull the sleeves up higher so your arms don't feel restricted as you swim.  Same with the legs, hike the suit up a bit.

Hey gang.  I'm making a request to add construction to the ADD A SPORT section of our training logs.  I just did a Habitat for Humanity project with work this afternoon and I am pooped.  We were building walls!  I must have hammered in 200 nails and lifted 30 very large boards.  I laughed when I caught myself thinking " breath between strokes" (i.e. hammer strikes).  This tri stuff is really becoming ingrained.

Alright!  She met the family and I showed her around the neighborhood.  She's a new 2008 QR Tequilo.  (2009 Tequilo is a completly different bike) She only has her training wheels on, I'll put the Mavic's on later.  Full DA.    Not sure how I want to set up the hydration yet, that's a bracket for a bottle up front but took the bottle off for the pics.  I'll figure it out soon. I'm keeping the old Look pedals for now.

This has been a hellava ride finding her.  Sometimes I felt like I was back in grad school up very late reading crap way over my head.   I test rode and researched several different rides.   I'm very happy!
Yes the grass needs to be cut, yes the seats to high, yes the fence is ugly.Tongue out

I worked on a client site for a day and a half and I am totally behind!

Someone help me with the sonogram.  Where is the baby?

What's the deal with the race? are these random assignments?  I guess it doesn't totally matter, but I need to make sure it fits into my plan.  The new coach I am working with is former military seal or something like that and is like a drill sargeant "If it ain't on the plan, don't do it!"  We've been together 10 days and I have already heard it twice!

Sweet ride and nice baby pic.

Suzy, the plan is 400M Swim, 12mi ride, 5k.

Teams will be random, just good for some motivation to work at race pace.

I think other than Jeremy we have heard from everyone.

I will set something up tomorrow, will just draw names out of a hat for teams, easier I think.

Had my first OWS of the season today.  Still not sure if I like my wetsuit but damn felt so much better than last year.

Was nice to get good compliments from my new OWS coach, always a good confidence booster (who knows if they were true or not...)

Water was in low 60's which is what is predicted for Mooseman and temp was fine.

Anyone have a desoto wetsuit?  Heard that those are so much more comfortable on the shoulders.

I have pretty broad shoulders, and I really like the Blue Seventy....

Uhh ohh... I was out of the loop the last two days and I jump on here this morning and see:

  • People have been spunky lately
  • We're expecting a new baby
  • Tony's doing a brick tri
  • Steve is going to have a baby that needs a helmet
  • and I'm MIA for something
Guess I'd better check the last couple of days postings.  BRB

OK, so I'd be up for a tri type thing this week...

I have a 40k TT on Saturday night and a Du Sunday morning (5k 30k 5k).  I have to swim on Tuesday as it's the only day I'll have access to a pool.  Then the following weekend (31st) I have my first outdoor tri.  Crazy, that will be my 8th race this year.

So for our training, we could set team goals for the week - total volume for week 1, 2 etc.  Set goals early and meet them each week.

Yes I was kidding.  What's the matter Steve, afraid my crazy hammering might whack you in the head?

John, they are both very beautiful pictures.  It is nice to see a non-cervelo TT bike, good variety.

Suzy, I think the baby is laying on her back (don't know if that sex is right but I don't want to say it) with her on the bottom left side, arm is extended along her torso and bent up at the elbow waving hi.

This is off topic, but a friend just sent this to me and I thought it was dead on.  I wanted to share this piece of truth with our male counterparts in the group.

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' … that will bring on a 'whatever').
(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of giving you the finger.
(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

Thanks!   I rode a 58 and 61 Cervelo P2.  Just didn't do it for me.

I think her feet are to the right in this shot.  We are looking at the back of her hand... thumb is barely visible.   Don't know the sex yet.  We'll find out in October!  Didn't find out for any of em'.
