That’s damm good Bryan.

What was good was the 3:27 run I did off that bike. THAT is IRONMAN racing. IMLP has more elevation than Kona with cooler temps. I would think it rides 10min or so slower for a top AG'er. Fred is a super biker as is Rick when healthy. My bike split is always the best of the three splits for me in any race at any distance overall. I think of myself as a runner, but biking is my strength. I would so love the IMLP course. At IMAZ, my 4:51 bike was 2nd in the AG, my 3:21 run was only 9th.

You want to know who's the only guy on BT I fear at the IM distance? Rob, Pseudoyams, when he is healthy. His 2008 IMWI result, especially the run, was impressive.

tribullbutter did LP last year and has also done Kona before... he would be a good person to ask to compare the courses.

This year I'm actually hoping to train properly and be able to run the whole marathon... God willing.

That's right, I forgot Evan did both. So did my coach for that matter, I'll ask him what he thinks as well.

OK, I went back and checked the 2007 results. My coach rode a 5:20 at LP and then went on to ride a 5:10 at Kona! So I'm close with my 10min estimate for a very experienced and faster racer.

Jacob had a flat last year that killed his bike split by 10mins.

Bryan do you choose your races or does  team Zoot dictate them to you?

Oh, I do, they just ask that we race somewhere around 8 or so races per year to represent the brand and the other sponsors. The only "requirement" is that we wear the race uniform, ride the Ordu, and use the sponsors products at races.

PennState - 2010-02-21 11:04 AM btw I am going on a 3 hour ride... OUTSIDE in about an hour. As you LP peeps talk about this and that... I am training and getting stronger. (just thought I'd add a little anxiety to my fellow LPers )

I'm out the door on a run.  Have a great ride Fred.

Maybe I will try that. Have started using Bag Balm which seems to be better. My only problem with it is that the primary use is for cow udders!!

Happy Monday, fellow LP'ers! What's on tap for y'all today? I did some fun stuff this weekend, so while I was all good-intentioned and crap when I walked in the door this morning, I kind of feel like I might just go ahead and take a rest day today. I know. Cuh-razy.

The place needs vacuuming anyway.

I'm weary and I'm resting, dammit! :-P

Although, as punishment, I'm now going to look at everyone else's logs and feel like a total lame-o for resting today. So...there. I hear guilt trips are good for getting rid of lactic acid buildup...

I've had like four days of fitness building then. Woohoo!
